You know, just like his predecessor, the President is human, and after days and days of meetings, one misspoken word in contrast to everything else he said at the same time, does not change anything. The transcripts from the press conference confirm this fact.

Having listened to the conference live, I can say I didn't catch the mistake. I was taken by how he confronted Putin, and his comments about how Putin reacted. In fact, given the liberal press was predicting the President wouldn't bring up the election issue, I thought what he was saying was great.

I think it is extremely unlikely people who are ideologically outside the President's views would ever believe anything he says, especially when it's typically always filtered by a media operating in partnership with his detractors.
