I always sleep through the heat of the day. No idea how hot it is getting.

Last night it started out around 80F (warm bathtub temp) and by 0400AM had dropped down to about 60F.

 

Well, one of the neighbors who is one of my good friends is down for the count.

He is 1 year older than me. But he smokes.

Right now he is at the hospital on a ventilator machine. Not good.

His wife is not taking it well.

Some things are predictable however.

I hope their life insurance is paid-up.

Last night I was talking with a buddy who has been there from the start. He often helps to keep me grounded. I was talking about the ex and how she basically ruined me for nothing. She thought she could lie and get away with it. And while it cost her about $100,000 to lie and play her games, she kept me in court for years and it all ran me out financially. On top of that, we both took a huge hit because our place was rural. Rural properties are only now back to pre-crash levels from 2007. The timing couldn't have been worse. And it is depressing to think about. I made the comment that I used to have so much, and now I have so little. Boy did that get a rise! Dude, you've done things that only about 9 men in the world can claim!, he objected. You have been living the life of Hugh Hefner, he added. Okay, that's a severe exaggeration but point taken.

It has been long enough now that sometimes it is easy to forget how bad it was back then. I had it all and I was miserable. Now I have virtually nothing but have been living a dream life in other ways. I'm far happier than I was then. I'm far far healthier than I was then. And my life isn't plagued with constant fighting and irrational behavior. And of course I'm not holding a gun to my own head. I often wondered if she was off her rocker. I honestly think she went nuts on me. The truth is, the last time I had a wife was the day that she discovered Free Cell on the computer. For all practical purposes, I never saw my wife again after that. We couldn't even watch a movie together anymore. She wouldn't even pay attention. All she did was stare at her freaking computer playing mindless games.

It is definitely a mixed bag but I'll take sex and beautiful women over things any day. My sb costs me a lot but I never regret it. There is nothing I would rather have. I look at other men who spend tons of money on cars and other personal items while trying to get the hot babes. And the fact is, the women could care less about those things. They just want to be taken care of and helped to achieve their goals, which is generally getting an education and a great job.

Three threesomes and dozens of women, each special in their own way, I remember them all. I actually have feelings for them all [less a few where we had bad chemistry or they were working me]. I consider each to be a gift. When the day comes that I can no longer do this, if that day ever comes, I will certainly have plenty of great memories. I remember the cars I had and all the stuff I had, but that evokes no emotions. But my memories of great nights spent with beautiful women, make me feel that I have lived a very special life indeed. I feel incredibly lucky.

It isn't like being 18 again. We just can't appreciate things the same way when we are young. When we get older it all means so much more. Truly, there is NOTHING in this world that makes me happier than being in the arms of a beautiful woman. From the moment my sb walks in the door until the moment she leaves, time stops and I feel nothing but pure joy.

 

I think its great that you still have the attention of women. I have been married 41 years and other woman are nice to look at but for me.....too much trouble. I like my fish and plant gardens. I saw two different flocks of Canada Gooses go over yesterday and to me that is also pretty. I can begin to see the relationship between the Goose and Spider.....the goat and the pasture.....or the wild bunny and the sweetgum tree.

I loved the rural life for many years. We had a bunch of animals and an idyllic piece of property. But it got to be too much. I was going to spend the rest of my life working my ass off until I dropped dead; all to maintain fences and trees, the driveway, the house, the barn and my office, the well system, the septic system, the berry bushes, the creek, the bridges....And it all cost a small fortune. We also spent a fortune at the vet - we averaged $500 a month at our peak. And most of it was stuff that had to be done, not stuff that we wanted to do. But most of all, it means nothing if you are really all alone. I literally started feeling like a slave - a slave to my marriage, and a slave to my property, and a slave to my business, which took a dive when the economy crashed.

But there are some great memories. Perhaps the thing I'm most proud of is that I became a deer whisperer. I got so good at dealing with wild deer that I could approach them and almost pet them at times. The most dramatic moment was when I managed to get a baby deer to come to me! He started to run, then stopped, then ran a few more steps.. and continued to walk towards me. He/she got very close. But then mamma saw what was going on and she didn't like it one bit! She came running over stood between me and the fawn and told me on no uncertain terms that this crap was going to stop! She almost attacked me. But it was all great fun.

After 25 years it all lost its charm and just became a huge burden that was going to kill me sooner or later. I almost died a few times over the years and had many close calls. And the older I got, the more aware I was of the fact that it was just a matter of time until I finally made a bad enough mistake, that my life would be ruined or ended. Of course the ex could have cared less as long as I didn't interrupt her video games... and got all the work done.

If we had a great marriage, that would have been very different. But I was all alone for ten years. When I was planning to commit suicide, I often wondered how long I'd be dead before anyone even noticed. My ex probably wouldn't have checked on me for a week. In the end I was going to email someone so they knew there was a body in my office. But it was just another brick in the wall. I could be lying down there dead and no one would notice or even care. At that point, deer and geese meant nothing. It was all just a huge burden that had sucked the life out of me.

 

Oh wow. I worked hard to get my few acres and if I continue to live it will be here. Working on the property is my workout and I want to be in good enough shape to take care of it. Even if I have to let the goats do most of the work.

 

You would enjoy goats. I'll bet the little fawn was a male......But then again....

 

Well Friday Night.....looks like the girls threw their heels and party dress on and are out partying for the night.

You guys try not tear this place up and remember Smartie said no spiting on the floor.

 

The peanut hulls along with the sawdust on the floor will soak it up.

 

Funny, it just occurred to me that I almost pulled the trigger but never sent that email.

I was sitting here, reminiscing about my vacation in the mental hospital.

One day, I tried to escape through a window. I ended up slicing the crap out of my hand when the glass broke. Cut through tendons and everything. I was spurting blood all over the place.

The folks did a good job restraining me. Also, I wish that I could thank the surgeon who put my hand back together. It's still not perfectly normal, but it's, like, 95%.

They did learn their lesson. I spent the next week, or two, strapped to the bed.
