Anywhere where legal American assassins cannot get to him without going through legal Russian assassins.

He has been met by the Ecuador Ambassador and it is said he is off to Cuba tomorrow, possibly final destination Venezuela, though Iceland still on the back burner. Could be Ecuador or Cuba too. Those seem to be where the bets are.

I suppose Cuba would be the final destination. By moving there he will avoid being a toy in big politics.

Venezuela seems to have been the high bidder for his "purloined letters".

So: do we jump up and down and cheer now that "Our Edward" is safe from those awful Americans ?:cheerleader:

Well it has to be a country which is not going to be pressured by the US. I hear Assange has been helping him trying to arrange a safe place. I suspect he might have preferred Iceland but they would not say whether they would give Asylum or not. Ecuador also has to be seen as a good bet given it has stayed by Assange.

Exactly. That is why Cuba having no trade or political control by the US is the best choise in my opinion. Island might be dangerous at this point.

When the flight arrived from Hong Kong, cars of Ecuadorian embassy were parked outside airport.

    Yes, Ecuador sounds more likely.

The reason for staying at the airport is apparently simply because there are so many journalists about, he doesn't want to take any chance of being kidnapped but there is also a possibility of some problems with his passport..

He, probably, has no visa, thus can't leave the airport.

Ever known of an American assassin having been prosecuted? Of course, one would have to cite the demise of an individual but anyone who doesn't believe it occurs needs psychiatric evaluation.

Looks like it is Ecuador. A tweet from their foreigner minister was found saying that he has asked for political asylum in Ecuador. No mention of acceptance.

He is apparently now traveling without a passport as the US has revoked it. Whether this will make any difference to his travelling remains to be seen. I am sure everyone knows who he is!

The US is complaining about Hong Kong letting him out and they are replying asking what the heck the US was doing with all its surveillance of them.

Quite amusing really. With all their extradition requests with countries all over the world and the purported quality of their knowledge of countries, you would think they could get it right just once. But, no!

Uncle Suckemoff is mortified. Every intelligence agency in the world is fully
aware of our capabilities. American people just last to know.
*This is the same clapped-out government that cannot control it's southern
    border.

The CIA is the organization used to do anything illegal that you need doing. Torturing people to death, assassinating people, drug trafficking, inciting rebellion in other countries, arming and training terrorists, whatever you need. The CIA are considered "above-the-law" so are never prosecuted for anything.

(Although they aren't actually above the law, as nobody is, the law is the law, but they are treated that way)

You should be extremely grateful for it. It saves the constant hating of your fellow Americans as persistently demonstrated on a daily basis in this forum and others.
