It is correct in MA. The OP was talking about MA. And, by god, I would not think Utah's school system would be liberal.

    I agree with that.

Utah is a mormon state, and they didn't see the opportunity to reinforce theocratic principals.

If I'd had the catering contract, I would have set up the good buffet on one side of the hall, wallpapered with a mural of blue-skies and fluffy clouds and cute little angels dancing with sheep, with ambient harp music, and the other side would have been wallpapered with a mural of demons stabbing goats skewered over flames, with the food being brussel sprouts, playing ambiet sounds of crying babies and girls screaming to the sound of explosions and car-crashes... and at the entrance the host would dress like St. Peter checking an ipad, sending them to one side or the other according to their balance.

The students lunch shouldn't have been thrown away but on the other hand it is unfair for them to receive the food without paying. In my opinion the student should get the food and bill the parents, should they not pay treat it like dept and take appropriate action.

What does this have to do with liberals and conservatives? This sounded like the decision of a private business, not the school and not a government agency.
