UN is not a source of international law.

Maybe Syria just wants to give Israel more territory.

Let's not forget the recent annexation of Crimea by Russia. Unfortunately Israel has the entire world as enemies other than the U.S.

Yes, it was a way to have US soldiers die for Israeli expansion, what they call Greater Israel.

Since the 1967 Six-day War, the western two-thirds of the Golan Heights has been occupied and administered by Israel,[1][2] whereas the eastern third had remained under control of the Syrian Arab Republic, or later following the onset of the Syrian Civil War split between the government and opposition forces, with the UNDOF maintaining a 266 km2 buffer zone in between, to implement the ceasefire of the Purple Line.[10]

It was forcefully taken.... there is no agreement when something is forcefully taken. Besides Syria sure as hell need the oil under Golan more than Israel and the US to rebuild their decimated country and help millions of refugees to return home. The west wants their oil but not their refugees...tis how I see it.

So? Nothing there says that Syria signed anything over. I quoted from your link to prove you wrong. Good of you to provide the evidence that proved your following statement wrong where you wrote "After Syria signed it over to the Israeli's in a disengagement agreement to get Israel to stop kicking their asses, and they've occupied it ever since." You should really read your links that you post where it states "Eventually Israel agreed to withdraw from all the territories occupied during the war," See, you can't trust Israel to adhere to any agreements

My advice to you then would be to tell the Israeli's that and see if they give a ****.

If they don't, I really would not advise fighting them for it: If the pattern repeats itself you'll lose still more territory and we'll never hear the end of it.

Why do you think the buffer zone was there? Try some critical thinking.

your link that you posted stated "Eventually Israel agreed to withdraw from all the territories occupied during the war," Israel broke the agreement. Hence Syria did not sign it over to the Israeli's in a disengagement agreement

Yeah, all except the part of the Golan Heights they kept. Originally they took the whole thing because they were attacked from it for 16 years.

...withdraw from all the territories occupied during the war, So Syria did not sign anything over and hence Israel broke the agreement that you posted a link to.

What about the people living on the land, don't they have rights? Anyway the Golan Heights is a problem for Israel, and right now both sides are being protected by Chechnyan guards in Russian uniforms, so wouldn't it be a prelude to war if Trump was to give it to Israel without some kind of agreement with Syria?

How about Israel leasing the land for 50 years?

The S-300 are now operational. Before Putin had denied them to Assad out of a favor to Israel. He learnt his lesson though on how much Israel can be trusted, when one of their jets hid behind the Russian plane and he ended up losing 14 highly trained specialists.

Russians troops are also now embedded with Syrian troops - and I'm not talking about mercenaries. So what do you want, a nuclear war?

One could say the same thing about Israel, the US and every other nation in the world. Saying that about Syria is as st**** as Bolton saying Guaedo is president of Venezuela.

Time we pulled out of evil mode, and rejoined the civilized world.:oldman:

Your link doesn't work - and showing a "truce line" does not equate to Syria handing the Golan Heights over to Israel. That you think the UN has nothing to do with international law - especially with respect to war (the topic) is proof of how clueless you are in relation to the topic.

Does Syria have the capability to attack anyone?

Are they fully a client state of Iran?

Do they want to gain sympathies from the rest of the Arab world?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

Ah, I see. France, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, etc. belonged to Germany in 1940.

Probably not. That said, I doubt Israel will return the territory.
