Would you consider the same thing with adults dancing or would that be (adult) pornography too? And please look up any of those laws about sexual abuse of a minor and identify any that the existence of this film comes even close to breaking.

I'm not implicitly defending the film (I've not seen it either). I'm treating it as "innocent until proven guilty" and I'm still waiting for actual evidence that the creators and distributors are definitively guilty of the major criminal offences you're unilaterally declaring them to be. All we seem to have so far is a bandwagon of knee-jerk reactions, rhetoric and apparently at least one lie already (in the accusation of underage nudity). That isn't the right way to solve problems, though it is a effective way of selling copy or getting political attention.

 

um.... sexually abusing children is a legal standard. Why deflect from that? Also, an adult can provide consent, a child cannot. Given that several jurisdictions are actively investigating Netflix, I'd say that the jury is out still but once those jurisdictions indict, you'll know.

I look at it this way. In the same way that I found "call me by your name" (even though the actor was 20) was portraying a minor having sex with an adult to be offensive, I find that monetizing child sexual abuse of a minor to always be wrong, regardless of whether or not it has been indicted or adjudicated. 9-11 yo girls being asked by an adult to sexualize themselves is the problem. And think about it this way, of the girls auditioned, filmed, photographed for these roles, what happened to that material? We have the finished product, but I think the number was around 650 girls auditioned, for the casting process. How do you suppose that went? It's F'in sick.

And why is it always the left that defends this cr&p? Do you suppose that suddenly the 9-11 yos will be in CA where CA just made it not a registrable offense to abuse them? And why is it, democrats named Weiner are always involved in this shyte?

 

I wasn't deflecting, I was seeking for more detail on that accusation. "Sexual abuse of a minor" would relate to specifically defined criminal offences. If you are declaring that this film has broken such laws, you should be able to explain how.

That's my whole point here. If you're going to publicly accuse people of committing specific criminal offences, you have a moral responsibility to be clear and confident about it. Libel is also a legal standard after all.

Are they? I've seen random calls for a federal investigation in the US but nothing anywhere else and nothing anywhere actually proceeding.

How do you suppose that went? You don't know, it's only definitively "f'in sick" in your own head. You've decided the entire project is a particular way based on what you've been told and so you're projecting that conclusion on to all the elements you know nothing about.

What exactly are you trying to defend here? I take it by your posts that you want more of little pre pubescent children in skimpy outfits being exploited for money?

If that is your thing maybe its time to seek counseling before it goes too far and you end up in jail.

 

I heven't seen the movie (and btw, neither has Ted Cruz), but it is my understanding that there is no nudity or sex.

 

Are they being exploited, or is a growing problem being highlighted? There is no sex and no nudity in the film. It was not created for the titilation of pedophiles, it is an expose of an unhealthly sub-culture among immigrants in Paris.

It comes under the law HERE if it is broadcast or otherwise distributed HERE. If someone brings in child sex magazines from Mexico they can be charged with a crime here even though it was made in Mexico. Not much we can do about the director and producer if they are living out of the country unless Interpol says they are violating the law maybe. But the people at NetFlix who approved of and broadcast this might want to start looking for attorneys.

And if anything drag them before Congress to make them explaing and justify this abhorrent movie that every pediofile has probaby been watching non-stop.
