    because the mass shootings are happening in "gun free zones" your analogy fails.

    I'm a CCW.... I work in a school, I can not bring my gun with me to work. if a mass shooting starts, I am powerless to stop it, even though I have a CCW. You are being purposely intellectually dishonest.

    Why have your beloved gun control laws not worked to stop the masses of shootings and murders each year in Chicago and other gangstalands? Have any of the thousands of shootings in Chicago been done with legally owned and registered guns so far this year?

    Also, Howsabout a link to where "there have been armed citizens who have stopped shooters" I've not heard of any, and I would think the NRA would see that was published, a lot.

    And this "gun free zone" business is fairly recent, like last 2 years as a known thing. Where were you guys when all these shootings STARTED?

    Come to think, where have you been ALL ALONG?

    Just reported...Teacher says it took 20 minutes for police to respond. Plenty of time for the shooter to slaughter lots of innocent souls.

    And plenty of time for some brave CCW hero to act. I think that there might have been several who (gasp) "forget" those signs, or maybe even "don't notice" them. Where were they?

    Also, is everyone certain this WAS a "gun free zone"? My understanding that those Zones are controversial. This was not a school that handled children but one where adults are the main students, quite a few of these adults might object to the GF designation, especially as it is a comm college and thus likely a recipient of taxpayer money.

    You don't have all the information needed to make this claim. As other have mentioned, you don't know how many 'mass shootings' have been prevented.

    How can you definitively claim the number is nine? You can't. Also as pointed out previously, it doesn't make sense to include shootings which have occurred in 'gun free zones', as nobody could intervene.

    That's right and we have no idea how many mass killings were stopped by the would-be shooter fearing that someone might have a gun.

    You have no way of knowing how many would-be shooters gave up looking for a safe place to do a mass killing because there were too many white guys around that may have a gun on them.

    You have no idea how many have been prevented in Texas because the would-be killer was afraid to pull his gun knowing that he was very likely to get return fire from well trained people. I don't remember a mall shooting in the last fifteen years, no movie shootings, no restaurant shooting "IN TEXAS" that is..

    There was the biker shooting but the cops did most of the shooting of the bikers.

    There might have been 9 cases where citizens prevented the shooting from getting worse, but there is no way to determine how many mass killings were prevented. If they were prevented, they did not happen, so we do not know if they would have been mass shootings or not.
