We have a greater GDP than the entire European Union. Our debt to GDP ratio is a fraction of that of China or India. Our credit rating is still better than any nation that could supposedly replace us and our consumers drive the entire global economy.

The Texan's aren't idiots. Many of us hate where this country is headed. What happened to the dems of the day of "Ask not what your country can do for you...." to "Redistribution of wealth".

Many (smart) Americans don't want to be like Europe or England or Switzerland or Whatever socialist/communist/monarchy you want to insert.

One side - the majority, in my humble opinion - would be very sympathetic to the underlying reasons for Texas' secession. The other side would be much smaller, but remain loyal to the POTUS.

Texas secession would trigger civil war, and I think Texas would be on the winning side, because a whole lot of angry people would join them, and I believe the side that did would possess and control an incredible amount of weaponry.

The US Military isn’t going to see the difference. They are not going to attack Texas, nor will Obama order that due to the political backlash. If he were do that, the dems would be losing for the next 100 years.
