Jimmy Kimmel used his platform last week to shame Republicans for their latest attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act. (Not a word, of course, for those who have been adversely affected by the legislation. Obamacare is just good, and good for everybody, see?)

When he isn't trashing Republicans in general, he, like Colbert and Fallon, is cracking wise about how dangerous and stupid our President is.

Here was a very typical reader response to the story on Yahoo:

"This is why I don't want t.v. any longer. I don't need somebody lecturing me when I have had a long day at work. I'm in HR and I get enough of people arguing with each other at work. I don't need to listen to Kimmel's garbage."

Don't comedians understand that their political attacks are not only unfunny, but likely to drive people away in reaction?

I am an Independent and a former Johnson supporter who now plans to vote for President Trump's re-election in 2020. There are many others like me. And the Left's unfair, hateful, relentless and mindless attacks against him are one of my reasons.

You can insure yourself from the prospect of reelecting a know-nothing reality tv star?

What are the monthly premiums? I'm interested.

Keep it up, comrade. You're helping with the President's re-election efforts.

    Are you enjoying Hillary's book?

Pathetically sad, especially given he'll resign or be impeached before then.

Let's bet $500.00 that neither of those things happen. Deal?

    I don't read contemporary political books; they're all bullsh*t.

But I can tell the difference between 'insure' and 'ensure'... so I got that going for me... which is nice.

They just don't learn. It's like their whole marketing plan is "here, take this polished turd and like it," which is not surprising as their whole thing runs on involuntary fiat and coercion. The failure of the Democratic Party in this decade will be studied for a long time to come.

They start with 1. an overwhelming cultural and media advantage, 2. a rule and law-bending bureaucratic infrastructure strongly in their favor, 3. a hegemony in "education product" and manipulating young, naive minds to rally behind their fake narratives, 4. a demographic of increasing permanent dependents due to outright flouting immigration laws and a epically disastrous "war on poverty" that has produced nothing but nationwide human misery and Democrat votes.

...and then instead of running another glad-handing, back-slapping outsider spouting hollow, empty slogans and picking up another slam dunk, they run a corrupt, cynical, machine insider candidate with so much baggage that they choke out.

Then whine incessantly like a bunch of spoiled titty babies instead of acknowledging their mistakes and moving on. They could very well displace Trump in 2020 with another slick, glad-handing, characterless socialist... that possibility is becoming more remote daily as they nail hundreds of these "sackcloth and ashes" nails into their own coffin lid each and every day.

ESPN is going down the tubes, just like Hollywood. I canceled my subscription and haven't watched it in months. Good riddance.

The reason they don't learn is because liberals are surrounded by same thinking drones. From tv, ads, talk shows, ESPN, fake news, to liberal professors. Their attachment leads to a bleeding liberal echochamber. They know nothing and too stupid and ignorant that anything but utopia would exist if it weren't for white people.

It highly depend, the american left doesn't seem to understand they will have to work hard to win in 3 years. They don't have any interest that Trump would resign because they could loose again without hard work. Winning against Trump was far to be impossible, but Clinton was so arrogant she lost.

Whatever I say? Okay, good. What I say is this: you underestimated Trump before he thumped your crooked, preachy, entitled candidate back in November. You underestimate him still, and so you're bound to weep more tears of bitterness.

    How's that?

voting for trump because the left is picking on him is bizarre...I cry foul. Colbert, Kimmel CNN and MSNBC are all up primarily by exposing trump for what he is and making fun of him. SNL had its best season in years picking on trump. think these posts through before you click post reply.

Beyond any policy considerations, Trump is just too old to run for the office again - Reagan should have taught us that and Reagan was in better physical shape than Trump. We've all seen how quickly the office ages people, Trump would be 98 in White House years.

Not saying the Dems will win - just think that Trump doesn't make it out of the primaries - and he WILL have opposition in the primaries.

I won't cry about it if a Democrat wins in 2020, which is obviously possible. Political sentiments swing back and forth everywhere. And that's fine. Today's regulation-happy, politically correct liberals simply make me sick. A conservative Democrat like Sam Nunn or JFK would be fine with me. Are there any left? Yes! I originally supported Jim Webb. But you liberals wanted Hillary to carry your flag. I still don't know why. (Anyone?)

I'm just waiting for a pigeon to come along and take my $500.00 bet above.

An American voting for any current Democrat would be even more bizarre. I guess it comes from getting all those participation trophies when you were growing up. Mother It Takes a Village would have given you more. Trump will not.

"Picking on" Trump is fine. Screaming for impeachment based on unfounded claims of Russian collusion, on his non-existent racism and sexism (check out his cabinet), on his supposed sympathies for the KKK, and being mean to the Dreamers (whose legalization he supports) is not fine. Today's scandal? He called that fat despotic pig in NK "rocket man." The Left is more offended by this than they are with the pig firing missiles over Japan and threatening Guam. You make me sick.

As for SNL an the limousine liberals getting rich off your lousy sense of humor, I hope you particularly enjoyed that defamatory skit about Russian hookers relieving themselves on your President. There is no reason to believe the story behind that skit and every reason not to believe it. Just how low can they (you) go?

Cognitive dissonance is a powerful thing, requires lots of head-patting and handholding to assuage... especially among the effeminate, already overmedicated "thenthtive" in need of a safe space, and handily explains the popularity of the Trump Bash shows among the... get ready for it... already converted.

U.S. popular media is doing inestimable damage to itself via TDS. Those faithful shell-shocked watching don't have the money to buy all the wares and enrich the celebrities. There is a broad swath of reasonable, educated Americans, of ALL political stripes, mostly centrists, who tend to be middle and upper income, who COULD buy the products, turning it off in droves... despite that the remaining faithful are using the shows as a paper life raft to ride in the swirling toilet.

"The Left will insure President Trump's re-election"

the only reason Trump won last time is dems though he did not stand a chance, so many did not bother voting

Trump got less votes then Romney, McCain or even Hillary

no one knew so many republicans would support this bad <or sick> guy

Yes I felt the same way when Hillary first stated it when she ran against the Obatard, after that, I didn't give it much more thought when someone else brought it up.
