Jesus Christ Almighty what do I have to DO with you people?

I AM NOT DISPUTING THE FACT THAT TRUMP WON THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE OR IS NOW THE PRESIDENT, I AM ONLY SAYING THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE THE SUPPORT OF A MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE AND HE SHOULD RECOGNIZE THIS FACT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, INSTEAD, HE AND HIS FOLLOWERS CONTINUE TO ACT AS IF HE WON BY A PURE LANDSLIDE AND WE ALL JUST LOVE THE MAN AND ARE 100% BEHIND ANYTHING HE DOES WITHOUT QUALIFICATION.

At the very least he should do at least one whole speech or interview where he addresses this fact and tries to tell this SilencED Majority, why they should accept him as President. And none of this BS about there being 3 million illegal votes either, by that standard I could say that he won because Putin gave him Russian mind control rays, I have about as much proof for that as he does.

And could you please explain how the EC is supposed keep people from "stuffing the ballot boxes OR precincts dumping votes in selected locations and stealing the election"? Seems to me it would make that easier, as you just have to put in a few votes in a few crucial areas/states, rather than put in millions. Mind, this is just curiosity/clarification on my part, I AM NOT DISPUTING THE ELECTION HERE.

Funny cause I'm pretty sure the world just watch him get sworn into office. But keep telling yourself that. It's (*)(*)(*)(*)ing adorable.

AND we don't know if Hillary would of won popular vote if that was criteria... Trump played to win and WON EVERY SINGLE BATTLEGROUND. States that knew their vote mattered went TRUMP.

This is a political movement. He has a mandate. And if you obstruct, you will be justly rewarded wtih midterm smackdown and Trumps reelection in 4 years.

We live in a land of laws. And law dictates how the levers of power are constructed and voted upon, dems are in deep doo doo. Republicans have a pocket aces, they have great spot here.

LIberals will taker a long time to recover. 4 years would be miracle, given their inability to havea self-autopsy. They will double down on unsubstatinaited claims of racism like last election.

Let's face it - just like here with Labour and Conservative, the two main parties there have got it sewn up between them; it's only a matter of luck for them as to which one gets voted into office . . . except that it's different in the US now, because the man in charge isn't a useless born-to-rule self-seeking politician, he's a principled man and that's 'a first' in modern-time American politics. Thankfully for us Mrs May has suddenly found her self-confidence and is no longer prepared to go cap-in-hand to the bullying EU bureaucrats - she'll be offering them the 'take it or leave it' options in the upcoming negotiations, and they're all stunned by that volte face.

I fail to understand how 2.9 million votes AGAINST you is a "mandate" but then I am not gifted with the unique Republican view on the nature of reality

I don't think we'll have to obstruct, Trump's idiocy will speak for itself and either even the Republicans won't pass it or it will hurt the country so badly it will be quickly overturned. However I do think we should make it very clear when we oppose something and never, EVER go against our judgment or principles. We did that in the late 90's and early 2000's and you then attacked us with the "how could you let us do something so stupid?" defense. This doesn't work with most people but some Republicans find it helpful to justify voting for someone who has done something so abysmally idiotic they should be in an asylum rather than the Capitol

Yeah, some Nazi sympathizer said America First somewhere back in history. Such a parallel.

Did you also notice how Trump and Hilter both have nostrils?

The ONLY metric that matters is electoral votes and Hillary got smacked. And if you guys ignore his economic messages, then you will lose the rust belt again and all the power that goes with it.. I call that a mandate.

It's a mandate simply because he is the winner.

The alternative was worse. Justification enough.

Kind of like how people gave Bill credit for the 90s boom but that was due to reagan tax reforms and Newt's contract with america... which bill signed. smartest thinghe did.

    "abysmally idiotic"

Like when Hillary told people in Pennsylvania that she was going to kill the coal industry?

Or, perhaps when she called half the country "deplorable"?

Or, not holding any pressers for a year?

    I'd call that pretty idiotic.

Trump saying only America first means Americans need to get more than the country they're dealing with. And his guy Wilbur Ross said US will need to get all the deals.

If Canada does worse off than what we currently get, there will be no deal. And it won't be because we aren't being fair. It'll be because the Trump administration are jerks who are trying to rip everyone off.

A trophy wife or two? But of course they married the billionaire because of his charm, ready wit and the warmth of his personality. Money had absolutely nothing to do with it...

Trudeau hardly projects confidence ... http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudea-trump-mayors-trade-1.3945150 Trudeau understands perfectly Canadas tenuous trade balance. He's I'm sure elated that Trump has as yet not singled him out. Grovelling, I think, suits him.

See, we're on the outside looking in objectively, and we're not dumb enough to be fooled by the lies which you lot have lapped up. 'Make America great again' sounds very nice but empty rhetoric often does. Has he, even once, explained in detail how he proposes to perform this miracle?
And, yes, the world is laughing at America now even more than when that feckless and inarticulate basket-case, Bush, was elected. And now you have a failed casino owner, reality show host and real estate salesman in the White House. Congratulations, can you hear the laughter from there?

What 'example' is he talking about that we should follow? A $20 trillion debt, horrific gun crime statistics, failing schools, a nightmare of a healthcare system, serial warmongering? Yep, some real shiny examples right there. But he's going to fix all that. Right, that's settled then and you can all relax...

It's the goal of his administration, nothing more, nothing less and certainly nothing's wrong with this goal.

Yes he has... He is going to get the best smartest and most experienced experts, put them in a room and brainstorm the best possible solutions to the issues ailing the country - illegal immigration, manufacturing jobs, trade deals, military alliances etc. Once such solutions are found he is going to start relentlessly implementing them.

Not really a miracle, don't you think now that I've explained to you how problems are solved in the real world, in private businesses, in families, in all other situations. The country did not have the political will to deal with problems, it had nothing to do with the lack of solutions and it changes now.

Yes, if I recall correctly they have committed some $300 billion toward tackling both pollution and climate change. America? Not so much.

Yep, they couldn't believe the rambling crap they were hearing either.

When you make people believe America ISN'T great when that's not true...all you have to do is stop making that claim and voila...America is great gain.

    That's how a con works
