Rates and my opinion. We have more important problems to solve than trying to save criminals.

Because some challenged a comparison to Trump pardons. You know whether we like it or not pardons are a fact no matter which POTOS or potentate does them.

Well I have to disagree...one of the main roles of the Criminal Justice System is to ensure that people don't re-offend. The Executive branch at the state and federal level runs much of the system, in particualr post conviction. We can do this via substance abuse programs, education, etc. When someone like this man, really makes the effort, and makes positive change, not just in himself, but in the community.....he certainly rises to the level of potentially being pardoned.

Are you saying that pardoning helps people to not re-offend?

In the case of the pardon by Trump, the gentleman had already been working for YEARS to help rehabilitate other criminals.

    Unlike Bill Clinton's brother-in-law.

No I am saying it can be a great reward for someone like this gentleman and something an offender can hope for if they follow in this man's footsteps or people like him

Yes, you said that you aren't in favour of them, which means you weren't in favour of ANY of them which includes Obama's.

Well I suppose it all goes down to how "enemy" is defined. The only reasonable way is for the government to define it, and perhaps the last time that happened was Bush with the 'axis of evil' - and if that's the case, then I can understand why you have cited it.

Who is POTUS currently? You must know by now that it is not Obama. Who perpetrated the current pardon? You know it was not Obama. The POTUS who perpetrates the pardon does not matter it is the act of pardon.

Ok take my sage wisdom and you will answer you own question.

Yes, the only logically consistent answer is that you were against Obama's pardons too. It's just strange that you couldn't have just said that when I first asked you.
