I don't know how many times I need to point of that I agree his pardon was well deserved.

What I don't approve of is making this Man's well deserved pardon a spectacle for Trump's selfish reasons. Ask yourself how you would feel if Obama or any Dem POTUS did the same simply to play politics.

Trump is a disgrace and is making the highest office of the land and our Country the laughing stock of the World.

 

No why would would you ask such a question? The US did some shady things but we never caused 6-8 million people to starve just because they were an independent minded nationality ( Ukrainian) and did not follow into the Stalinist world of Communism, collectivism, and Soviet schiest.

 

Correct in that I do not have much faith in redemption. In cases of murder and child molestation the criminal has forfeited the right to be considered a human being and deserves the same fate as a harmful bacteria. Death.

 

And how about that naturalization ceremony? While thousands wait for their ceremony to become Americans because Trump cancelled all of them, he selects these five people for his own promotion? Sickening.

 

What has passed for a "progressive" criminal justice system has failed.
Trump is fixing it while pardoning many of the victims of the systemic institutional racism imposed on Americans by DP "progressives" since Reconstruction.

We might not have reached the 6-8 million mark, but it wasn't from lack of trying. We did similar things to the Native Americans, the Chinese railroad workers, and even the blacks. Comparing Russia of today to the Stalin era is like comparing today's Britain to the days of the Boer Wars.

 

Naturalization ceremonies happen all the time. No one is having to wait because of this.

 

when i turned 18 sense meeting the age qualification to become a citizen the federal attorney ( the Justice Department did naturalizations back then) told me that they were having a ceremony to hand out the Naturalization certificates the following Sunday at the downtown plaza. I told him that I was leaving for bootcamp is a couple months and that I want to spend as much time as I can with my then girlfriend at the beech and whatever it being summer. The federal attorney reached into his desk drawer and handed me my naturalization certificate and said here go have fun and good luck you earned it. He also thanked me for enlisting and having the desire to serve MY COUNTRY!

If Trump was the POTUS back then I would be standing around with a bunch of immigrants listening to boring speeches.
Lucky that General Bonespurs is about my age so LBJ was POTUS.

 

We are used to racist behavior from Democrats. They are the party of Jim Crow, the KKK and lynchings. We get that you don't like black people getting a break but you just have to get over it. The guy looked honored but I guess your feelings far outweigh his. Poor you.

 

The guy seemed genuinely touched and honored. I am glad for him. Too bad that some on the left are so self absorbed that they can't appreciate the good that he feels. It also will boost contributions to his non profit. Publicity is always a good thing for a non profit. I guess "orange man bad" outweighs all the good that came out of this.

Not true there are reports that the naturalization process has ground to just about a halt or at least slowed down as the US Post Office has been by that DeJoy character.

It was a clearly defined statement based on the subject of Presidential pardons, Now, if you do not like the subject matter that your OP demonstrates, then that is on you. Your attack on my post while not actually dealing with the actual verbiage proves that you live up to your screen name, Your post is definately based on PARTIZAN1ship of liberal talking points, and not real facts. Now, if you want to respond to the actual verbiage, have at it. Otherwise, you are merely attacking someone that disagrees with you without being cognizant of the facts.

Again, if you are not outraged by the actions of Obama, then why are you concerned by the pardoning of a reformed bank robber? Is it that you do not feel prisoners can actually be reformed, or are you merely question the pardon based on the fact that Parton is a born-again Christian?

 

The US justice system has been supported by people who claim conservatism , liberalism, progressivism and other "isms" so you are blowing smoke into the discussion.

 

I'm guessing you forgot that there is a pandemic going on and most Federal, State and Local offices are closed to the public. Try getting a Title transfer at your State's DMV. If it is anything like my State, you will be told it will take at least 6 months.

 

That old saw about Democrats being racists because they are Democrats is wrong, stupid, assinine, lazy, unintelligent, disingenuous and most likely purposefully stated knowing that it is false.
