No it isn't. Truman was a member of the KKK. FDR, whom the Democrats sill praise, created the ghettos that are so infamous for their low income and high crime rate. Byrd was a member of the KKK.The Democrat party has a supremely disgusting past. He was very good friends with Biden. They both fought segregation together. One could say they were brothers in arms for racism. Wallace was a Democrat that also fought segregation.

 

I'm sure you would feel the same way when a Dem POTUS decides to make a spectacle simply for his/her own political self interest, right?

 

It's not a big deal except the Democrats are bothered that Trump might get some good press from it. Screw them. I see a black man that is trying to do good for his community and the left is doing everything they can to crap on the interaction and praise from the most powerful man in the free world because they don't like Trump. I feel good for the guy. He is proud of that moment and it's a shame that the left would **** on it by demeaning his experience but "orange man bad" is more important that rehabilitating prisoners and minorities accomplishing something.

I, too, am happy for a man who has turned his life around. Pardons, IMO, should be more like this - rather than the high profile choices.

I do, however, find it ridiculously transparent for Trump to be using this pardon for his RNC. And I'm sure you would feel the same if a Dem tried it. At the end of the day, a deserving man has been pardoned - but it didn't have to be a spectacle for Trump. And the same goes for his ridiculous naturalization ceremony.

One already did. Were you this outraged when Obama brought up people onto his stage to be used as props and optics during BOTH of his DNC conventions? What about the "props" that were used in the last DNC convention? (Jacquelyn Asbie, Ady Barkan, Rick Telesz, Aldo Martinez, Luz Chaparro Hernandez, etc)

My distaste is with Trunp's pardoning and using the pardoning for political purposes.
