I said people discard his thoughts and ideas as soon as they click away from his thread. The fact that there are a group of people just as foolish as he is willing to click the like button next to one of his absurd posts changes nothing. When people who are wrong about something get together and agree, they are still wrong. The people willing to like his post are a drop in the bucket next to the people who have come to the thread and either not liked his post or moved on without commenting. I cant believe I have to spell that out.

And this thread, thanks to its undertone, is more about USA vs Russia and who on this board is better at denying reality to make their country seem like the best thing since sliced bread. The OP seems to have either a raging hard on for Russia or a raging hate on for the USA. Its relevant to point that out in a thread like this.

You say you don't like his input because you think it's biased in favour of Russia/Putin. So let me ask you .... are you not sick and tired of the lies from the American government and the CIA? Don't you think it is interesting to hear a different explanation for the wars and dirty events the US is involved in? Just asking.

I understand what you are trying to say. But when you cut all the drama and sandbox playtime accusations, I personally see the likelihood of Russia/Putin being involved in influencing the outcome of American elections to be less than the US interest in Gorbatjov's politics .......... and only slightly more possible than Abraham Lincoln rising from the grave and stealing my bicycle.

So if you don't agree with one side or the other, and you don't like the input from those who do agree with one side or the other, why burn yourself out over it? There has to be some other thread that you enjoy more than this one. Just saying.

I said gold repatriation is pretty common these days. What you do with that gold once you get it back is not our concern.
As for Germans melting it - I think everyone does that, you are just the only one making a big deal out of it. If I was a decision maker and I got this gold I’d melt it simply to get it rebranded.

 

Our bundesbank said we do it so we dont ge tricked. Germanx has 2nd largest gold reserve in the world.

 

And what was the result of the remelting operation?

 

If I suspect my government of lying to me in order to influence my world view, why would I take seriously the ideas of someone with an agenda so entrenched in emotions and bias that he cant even begin to hide it?

We announced that we melt it before the transfer back Germany started. So of course we got our gold back.

The gold thing is just one aspect. Normally the american president and german chancellor phone each week. Insiders say that Trump and Merkel have not spoken since last octobre. Germany is the Nr. 2 economic power in the western nations. Trump also has not visited Germany yet in an official state visit. It shows clearly what goes wrong.

 

The idea that the US government would give you impure gold is simply absurd. I'm sure you guys did remelt it, perhaps even to check the purity, but not out of any suspicion that our people might be attempting to trick you. It's much more likely to be standard, official procedure.

There was a huge campaign here from the public to repatriate the gold. The Bundesbank was forced by a sucessful referendum to repatriate it. The referendum also demanded to check if the gold is real.

Its several thousand tons of gold, so there was mistrust if we get it

Russia has importance, whether you can see it or not, in that they can destroy you, me and our nation. For you to say they are not important is utter nonsense. I detect arrogance, nothing more than that in your stance here.

We use every opportunity to sanction russia. We even accuse them of sh*t, while provided no evidence and then here comes the sanctions. You are simply not paying close attention for some reason. Of course that lack of attention serves your beliefs, so..expected. Hey, I can detect this quite easily with various posters here. Not like it isn't obvious. At least for someone paying attention. And I am very attentive. It helped me to survive long ago in a land far far away. I made a habit of it. Keeps people from pissing on my leg while claiming it is just god's pure rain running down into my shoes. No, I don't like wet legs.

Then why so many of us here in america never see such evidence, but only accusations and opinions, lacking such evidence. So stop saying there is evidence when no one has it or reveals it. This is in no way clever, and yet it works on the people far too well. But only on the dumb and dumber.

 

How many of us bother trying to find it? Seems to me that some of us are content to go on the most superficial media reporting, that some of us do not even know what we do not know.
