    US currency is not tied to the gold.
    As far as I’m concerned, the US should charge fees other countries for storing its gold.

    The U.S. Army doesn't have any land launched Tomahawk cruise missiles.

    Only the USN and the USAF have Tomahawk's in their inventory.

    Gold repatriation is pretty common.
    In wars acquisition of country’s gold reserve was like the biggest war booty. Now, many countries feel less threatened and repatriate their gold.

    You see that a lot now days. Very few journalist ever served in the military and report on things they have no knowledge of.

    Even watched Fox News journalist referring to a navy destroyer as a battleship or CNN calling U.S. Marines as soldiers.

    Or even a community organizer who found himself as the Commander in Chief of the U.S. military calling a U.S. Navy corpsman a "corpse man."

    I **** you not, you can't make that **** up.

    Unfortunately, most of journalists simply don't understand what they are talking about. Once I remember some TV journalist was making his reportage, and he called some military air fighter "a liner". It's normal thing for media.

    Actually America's missiles are smaller, shorter and slower but extremely accurate while Russian missiles are larger, longer and faster but not so accurate.

    It's not about how big it is but...

    Russia still hasn't repatriated the gold of eastern Europe. They basically stole it.
    One case:
    The Romanian Treasure is a collection of valuable objects and the gold reserves of the Romanian government sent to Russia for safekeeping during World War I. Only part of the objects, and none of the gold reserves have been returned as of 2017.[1],

    Many more cases, not to mention examples of looting and sacking.

    Gold repatriation is common, but not when it comes to Russia

    Make up your mind. Either everyone disregards what he says or ....... regarding what he says proves he is wrong. You are wrong in saying he is disregarded (I proved it) and the fact that more have regarded his input than yours means that his views are better received and that your views are wrong. That means that you are less regarded and more wrong.

    This thread is about Putin and Trump .... Russia and the US. It's not about the OP or about you. The OP made a good point about Trump's boasting and Putin's rebuff. Isn't that what we should be talking about?

    This presupposes we've taken these steps in order to spite Russia. We're essentially reacting to Putin trying to reassert Russian influence over its neighbors.
    Russia isn't that important.
    Ever thus, and the Russian people don't get anything for Russia grabbing the Crimea or flexing its muscles toward the Baltic states.

    You are wrong.

    Germany reptariated our gold last year, simply because mistrust against USA. We even melted the gold bars to make sure they were not faked.
