Fun to shoot, OK accuracy and recoil is minimal. Love it. My wife bought me this years ago for my B-Day. All numbers match and it has all markings.

I'm a Ruger man myself. I love how thin and comfortable the LCP is, even if some do consider the .380 underpowered.

I do like the LCP. It is a very stiff and long pull on the trigger, but the gun is a really nice size and weight for daily carry.

Bloody hell, I feel like I just wandered into a gay bath house. Not that theres anything wrong with that. Maybe just a warning on the thread title for us heterosexuals.

So instead of actually contributing to the discussion you decide to fling insults and try to portray anyone who carries as a homosexual? Wow. That is really pathetic and rather sad. Sounds to me like someone is trying to cover up their own homosexual feelings by projecting, especially given your need to proclaim your heterosexuality.

BTW, how do you know what it is like to wander into a gay bath house? I've never done that, but I never imagined they would be sitting around talking about what guns they carry. Is that just Australian gay bath houses or is that a worldwide phenomenon. I've never met a guy who knows what it is like in there, so please share your experiences with gay bath houses.

I agree the trigger pull on the LCP is rather stiff, but I've found it to be very smooth and with some practice you can stage the trigger really effectively. You can put rounds on target with almost pinpoint accuracy, and because of the long trigger pull they can sell the LCP without any added safety buttons or levers or indicators to fiddle with when it really counts. And who wants those?

Its also so thin and lightweight 90% of the time I forget I have it on me. For me I much prefer the LCP to heavy full-sized firearms in daily carry. I'm sure there's plenty of people who carry very effectively and comfortably with full-size pistols but the LCP just works for me.

    How about this?

    Ek = (1/2) · 80 · 182 J = 12.96 kJ

How about we talk about BC and SD?

Hoe about we talk kill factor?

Energy transfer as it relates to starting diameter and the expansion process.

No, but you are the one who is apparently getting all excited by putting it into yet another homosexual context. You DO know it is OK in today's society to admit you have homosexual feelings, right? Seriously. If people describing the trigger pull on a gun gives you images of "stiffies and long pulls" to the point you have to bring it up in conversation, maybe you need to examine where this is all coming from inside you.

The .380 IS underpowered. It is a pipsqueak caliber, totally unsuited for self-defence. My uncle oince carried a .380 (a Walther PPK)...he now carries a Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull.

I agree, the 380 is underpowered. On the other hand, they are very small and lightweight. They make a great concealed carry weapon because they aren't obtrusive and are so light you forget that you are carrying them.

The best concealed carry weapon is the one you actually carry. You may have a Desert Eagle .50, but it is useless if you leave it at home. People are more likely to regularly carry a small, lightweight weapon, than a large one.

A 380 (or even a 22 magnum) that you actually carry is far more effective than a 45 that you leave at home.

You're better off unarmed than with an ineffective weapon. If a guy is cranked out enough, he might not even NOTICE a hit from a .380 round. MINIMUM, I would want a .38 Special.

Do you have anything of value to add or are going to continue being a self-righteous ass?

the .380 is underpowered and as you can see in my post above i carry the big caliber guns (45 or 357 mag) but its better than nothing.

I have found that 9 times out of 10 simply showing the gun does the work.

Been to nearly every city in the US with a population over 200k. Never felt the need to carry a firearm.

I'd rather depend on good judgement and common sense than trust that I can out draw and out shoot someone.

If you think you might need a gun, go somewhere else.
Don't make a show of your IPAD, IPHONE, ROLEX.
If' it's to far to walk safely, take a taxi.
Park in well lit well traveled areas.
    Don't leave late.
Don't answer the door when in a hotel.

Lots more good rules but they add up o the same thing. Carry some common sense and you don't need to "pack" anything.

So...my wife's best friend shouldn't work, is what you're saying? The hospital is where it is, so "somewhere else" is a non-starter. She often starts or ends her shift late. (2am is common...she's a nurse.) Other than the hospital, the area is utterly deserted at night.

So cities are only safe if you stay inside cowering in terror at the monsters outside? Sounds like an unbearably fearful way to live.

A 380 with the proper round is plenty. Knock down power is not high but it will kill just the same with a couple of popped off at the center of mass. On the good side of things a properly weighted 380 is great for multiple quick shots while limiting recoil to allow easy holding on target until you are out of ammo.

I have a problem with this. Respectfully, sir, there is a lot of arrogance in this comment. Even the best officers are sometimes victims of bad intel or simply finding themselves in a bad situation due to having no intel. Exceptional officers have sometimes found themselves surprised, outnumbered, and danger close.

I am aware of at least one officer who found himself outnumbered, surrounded, and in danger of being overrun. It was not a failure of the officer's leadership; a bad intel report had resulted in his unit being deployed into an inappropriate area. He kept calling in air strikes, yelling coordinates to his RO... as he used his 1911 .45 to keep enemy who had broken through the perimeter from endangering the RO. Despite being outnumbered and surrounded the officer's coolness under fire and his exceptional pistol marksmanship meant his unit won the day... and you think he is "not worth the bullet to blow him to hell"?

    Interesting...

    The .380 is a mite under-powered.

Here's what I carry - but only for religious services.

So she's got a gun in her purse.

As she's arriving at 2 AM a man steps from behind a car with a gun drawn.

How does her gun do anything at that point other than get stolen or get her killed?
