Trump is being delegitimized daily by the onslaught of revelations concerning Russian influence in the POTUS election, and indeed Trump's own association with Russians.

Trump is now under siege from claims that his election and tenure are illegitimate, his attempts to suppress investigations, and the implication, one by one of Trump associates.

How can Trump govern when many in society view his election as illegitimate?

How long before the pressure becomes too much for Trump?

Will the GOP throw Trump under the bus to save their own tawdry necks in the 2018 elections?

This is the most intriguing political theater in ages. May you live in interesting times.

Oh you PRESIDENT Trump haters. That much hatred will eventually take a toll on your health. Not that I care but I hope I'm not stuck paying for your medical bills.

I saw a few stories today stating that the American public and democrat politicians want to drop this Russian stuff because it's meaningless and going nowhere. Instead of fighting for the typical liberal causes, libs are focusing on the Russians and it's falling on deaf ears.

Elijah Cummings labeled Trump illegitimate day one. The DOW is up about 2,000 pts. unemployment is at 4.7%, Jobs growth is steady, illegal immigration is at an all time low, The GOP has won every special election, is there a down side? Apparently legitimacy is way over rated.

Of course, it is. Trump and the GOP have mounted a campaign to deflect attention from Trump and the growing list of Trump prospective offenses being investigated.

GOP sees this as a risk to its election prospects for 2018 and wants to deflect attention from Trump and the GOP Russian questions.

A campaign is worthless if the media doesn't cover it. Do you think the left wing media is covering Trump's "deflection?"

A growing list? Can you point to evidence of 1 offense that isn't pure conjecture?

Hm..... tough question this is not. I think, GOP should look at the results of the 4 last special elections, and how they played out.

    Right?

This one never had any to begin with. The foundation was built upon a guy that cheated fellow Americans at every turn throughout his entire career.

You'd be surprised, my friend. Every time I need a little pick me upper or just a reminder why I am who I am, I listen to PMSNBS or CNN. Five minutes is usually enough :)

I guess his successor party nominee will lose the election. Just ask Al and Hills about that. Until then, Trump is still the President.

No he isn't. This is a conflict between those who accept the choice of the electorate and those that refuse to.

Trump is fine. Only the hardcore left wing nutters that believe the lies told to them by the Democratic Party propaganda machine known as the Mainstream Media believe Trump colluded with Russia as there is ZERO EVIDENCE.

    ZERO EVIDENCE

    NOTHING

    NOT A SHRED

.... yet the "Useful Idiots" still believe the talking point and freely repeat it.

You lost the election. You have lost over a 1,000 seats throughout the nation. You will continue to lose seats. No one believes your lies except yourselves.

    Let's Sum facts--not hysteria

1.Trump was elected President of the United States under the Constitution.

    2. He used his authority to unwind executive orders issued by President Obama.

    3. His primary goals are jobs and freeing up the economy.

    3. The Republicans have the majority in both houses of Congress. Despite the hysteria on TV, some legislation has been passed with the support of both parties. There is disagreement over health care.

4.The Russian Collusion Illusion is being perpetuated by Democrats and the media, but not by the evidence. It is wilting under scrutiny.

    5. Democrat members of Congress have all stated there is no evidence of collusion

    6. James Comey stated before Congress that PRESIDENT TRUMP was not under investigation for collusion

    7. People from the Obama Administration are now coming under investigation for their participation in questionable activities in the campaign and in the transition.

    8. The wall proposed by Trump sits in the planning stage at this time, but illegal immigration is down 60-70%

    9. The Stock Market is at all time highs.

I think these are the facts so far. So now:

    LET THE HYSTERIA BEGIN.

You missed Steve N's point. Look HERE and see why the Russia thing simply won't help in the long run - or even the short.

The issue isn't Republicans deflecting away so much as it is the DNC slowly realizing that the constant harping about Russia won't win them any new votes. It won't convince anyone to vote FOR the Dems. All it really does is convince people who were never going to vote for Trump anyway that they still shouldn't. For all intents and purposes, the DNC is marginalizing itself.

Democrat harping about the Russian Collusion Illusion is a smoke screen for the fact that they lost to a non-politician. In trying to soften the loss, they came up with the lazy man's excuse:

We were stabbed in the back by the Russians.

    Sound familiar?

Go back 99 years to November, 1918. Germany is losing WWI. They request an armistice and are humiliated when they sign a peace treaty months later. Did they tell their people they lost the war? No. They came up with their own lazy man's excuse.

We were stabbed in the back by the Jews.

    Different culprits, same lie.

When safe seats in deep red states have single digit wins that is a warning sign.

But feel free to ignore it all the way through November 2018.

No it was not. The electorate chose Trump in 30 states. He kicked Hillary's ass, first 30 state winner in 20 years...

The illegals voting in California aren't really part of the electorate, and their illegal ballots mean nothing outside of that leftist hellhole.
