The Dragonborn DLC is amazing, the other DLC's I was not really impressed with. Heck, I easily get well over 100 hours per play through. I am on my 3rd play through and have a good 400 hours into the game.

The new XCOM is a very good game, a keeper that I will be playing for a long time.

ATM I been playing Dead Island and loving it. A bit of advice for any who may try it... google some survival tips will make the game much more enjoyable. For example, in chapter 2 of the game you are in a zombie infested city where it almost suicide to take on large groups of zombies. A simple solution... jump onto the hood of a car... most of the zombies cannot hit you and you can just smash their melons at your leisure.

Been playing Dragons Dogma too. I really like the game, one of the best RPG's on the XBOX 360. It is not for everybody as it does not hold your hand and can be a tough game early on. Also you can fast travel by the use of a small stone that you can carry... but it costs 20k gold per use. Early on in the game it is just better to walk everywhere because you will need your gold for upgrades. Later in the game when you have an abundance of gold you can stock up on the teleportation stones.

Thanks for the patch info for Vamp. I played Deus Ex. It's a first person shooter....probably one of the better of the older games, with decent graphics. I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed for another of the Vampire Bloodlines.

Speaking of patches, there are ways to make most old games run in wide screen format too.

I really liked the original Guild Wars... I played it alone with the A.I. henchmen. Sadly you can only do that for so long before it becomes too tough and you are forced to join up with other players. Does GW2 have the A.I. henchmen? If so do they match your level or are they lower level like in Guild Wars?

Just in case you are wondering why I play a MMO like as a SP game... well I spent years playing WoW and just don't want to get that involved with the community side of gaming for the time being.

I dont know what the henchman is so I guess its not the same as GW1. Im in a guild but you mostly solo and join up with people out in the world to do events. No pressure to be there at a certain time and no committments like in wow.
F2P and the graphics are better. I like it, im sure its not for everyone.

    Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe.

I seriously recommend it to anyone who likes things like Sim City. In this one you run a transport empire. It's an open source remake of a game from 1995.

You should get it. Pretty sure they've added a number of new features to fix some problems with the original.

Thanks again for happening to mention that. I used to play that game for hours when I was younger. The map size options in this new version are insane. Still haven't quite figured out how to add good AI yet, but I'm working on it.

    LOL, nice (-:

Ya, GTA V is my next must have game. I been renting games as of late, playing some of the games I never bought because I did not want to pay $60. Been playing old games again like Mass Effect 3 with the new ending.

Anyone else here hopped on the Path of Exile train yet? That game is F2P and genuinely awesome. I've sunk more time into it than a person reasonably should sink into any game during finals week.

Playing the new Tomb Raider. I am still not sure about it, but only a couple hours into it. Graphically it is spectacular, and the mechanics are very good. But there does seem to be a preponderance of real time events... which I am hoping I do not have to do all through the game.

You don't want to get involved in the Guild Wars community because you played WoW? ... Yeah, OK, I guess I can see how that would scare a person away :D WoW ceased to be a community in large part, though, when the LFG tool and other such features came along. No more world interaction - everything is automatic queuing and instances now. Dead world.. Dead community. I used to encounter players in the game world and make virtual friends that way. Not so recently. Maybe the players themselves have also changed, but I think it's more due to the myriad changes to the game itself.

I rarely play anything anymore. I just spent a while getting a couple of Nintendo emulators up and running under Debian/PPC, however, and recently played a little OpenArena multiplayer online. I like all things free and open source :D

No, because I was heavy into the Guild aspect of WOW for several years and it just takes to much commitment, time and effort. I am an old man now, cranky and antisocial. (-:
