Why Can't The Pope Be A Woman?

And just so this thread knows, women can be Popes, but men tell them they can't.

Women got the vote and after that those troublemakers wanted equal pay for equal work, equal job opportunities, equal health care those pesky women, thinking they're actually HUMANS just like men !!

And those black people, they got freed and then wanted to be treated like other humans ...how dare they expect more than just being freed!!!!

But they got a foot in the door and expected to eat at any public restaurant, drink out of any public water fountain, sit anywhere on the bus,,demanded equal pay for equal work, equal job opportunities, equal health care !!

It's more complicated than that. Right now there are not really any women candidates qualified to be pope.

(And pope means father, so we would have to call them "mope")

 

Then make it Mope... As long as she gets to lead as much as a Pope. Like King or Queen; Pope or Mope.
Or cancel it for sexism since there are no Mopes and it's the church's fault no ladies are qualified.

I'm still convinced that the Catholic Church is corrupt beyond redemption until it learns right from wrong and stops condemning people to Hell for love (Same sex marriages should be seen as a step towards not living in sin); and, since Pope Joan was dismissed as legend, there is much to be desired for gender equality, and what is wrong with being Woke if being Woke is used as a stick to beat those into bettering themselves?

Shirley Phelps-Roper, Bill Donohue, these are not people we should be allowing to preach their message of hate. Free speech and the first amendment might allow them to though.
I'm all for protecting minorities, except when that minority preaches hate speech and keeps others from positions of power based on gender or race or sexuality.

 

Why do I get the feeling that the Left isn't anywhere near as anxious to "cancel" Tibetan Buddhism as they are Catholicism?

 

Men and women are created in the image of God. The Bible says so That concept goes beyond our sexual organs. It means our emotions, our ability to choose, to love...our ability to build a relationship with God.
And women are just as valued as men. Which is not a concept shared in some other religions btw....

As far as those churches that view men should be in leadership positions, the women who decide to be a part of that church family likely have their focus on God, not on pride and ego. However if a woman feels called to be a pastor...there are many church families that welcome that.

Choice and the freedom to choose is a wonderful thing.

The bible places the man at the head of the church. And the husband is the head of the wife.

I'm of the state and the church who says...

God is head of the crown, which is me, but right now, a lady wears the crown, so it's on her head, but it's still below God, and I am the crown/we are the crown; the crown is the British people, it is our 'we the people' and makes the UK like Iran in having unelected religious people of power in our House of Lords in our Houses of Parliament in Westminster.

But that's what being British and Church of England gets you.

The Arch Bishop of Canterbury is my Pope appointed by the lady who wears the crown who delegates these things, but the reigning monarch is the head of the church here; for me.

I believe it's unfair to have a ruling family with privilege.
But that's another battle for me and my people.

I mean, we have Catholics and Catholic Churches and schools here too, but, I'm not one and was born and 'Christened at a Christening' in another domination that's a subset of this called Congregational which is more about hymns than robes.

The Queen and group don't follow the bible for their rules.

It's about sexism in the RCC; however, Anglican can have women vicars and bishops.

Who's to say the RCC is right and Anglican is wrong? Certainly not me.

As I said, God is head of the Crown, which is me and my people, none of this 'man is head of woman' torment.

RCC takes their orders from the bible.

 

Because they wrote it when Rome fell to the Christians and made the first Pope out of the last Roman Emperor who needed to control an empire; not because of anything else but mass control.
It's all in hierarchy; listen to the head because they are better than you nonsense, imo.

To serve God and to serve your man or be served if you're a man, but a man cannot serve a woman out of wedlock so therefore she can't be a priest and rise up to Pope, is because she cannot be served?
