Ever hear that saying "Go ahead and yell until you're blue in the face"? It applies to both sides in this case ;)

I never said it was. The OP was about how Japan has fewer gun deaths. As if we could some how get there. I was pointing out that it is useless to compare us to Japan because we cannot do what Japan has done.

I have never heard a shot fired in anger in this USA. Most people have not. Hardly a war zone.

And yet, you aren't providing any solutions either. Throwing your hands up and giving up is not a strategy.

How could you? You already said you live in the country, aka rural America.

It isn’t the biggest issue now because there are other sources of firearms. I don’t have much interest in printing a plastic gun (metal printing will be viable soon also) or hand building a steel gun today because I can buy what I need. If I could no longer buy what I need, I would buy a printer and start experimenting.

Interestingly, here are two incidences of what I’m talking about—in places where firearms are restricted.

I did not realize war zones picked and chose where the shooting took place.

I was not trying to come up with a solution. I am confident that cutting back law enforcement will not work.

What script? My point was that we cannot get to where Japan is and it is therefore useless to compare the two.
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

People say gun control won't work because criminals won't give up their guns, so you take them.

Were you planning on making no notice raids on every house in the US to find them?

I'll watch this video, but ill bet it doesn't touch on cultural differences at all.

I.e., liberals would lose their ****ing minds with the way the Japanese culture demands personal responsibility.

The US has a culture war problem, that is primarily responsible for most of the other issues.

But liberals will never admit that.

Decades is a lot sooner than never, and in my view the Japanese solution proves it can be done, and they are wiser than America.

Then how are you going to find them to take them? Not to mention the fact that their guns could be anywhere. Not necessarily in the house.
