    I voted yes.

It is not the fault of children that their parents brought them here. Furthermore, our country has been tacitly complicit in this illegal migration for a long, long time now.

I think we are better off enacting the measures that will give us stronger immigration control in the future than we would be spending our energies rounding up children and deporting them.

Most borders were established by war or the threat of war. Mexico agreed to the Rio Grande as the border. They were so poorly governed and in such turmoil they were lucky not to lose more territory than they did.
This is in the history books. Nothing gives Mexicans a moral right to be in the US illegally. If they don't want to respect the border then maybe we shouldn't either. Lets send 15 million people illegally into Mexico and see how they like it.

It a shame that the Canadians with the aid of the British empire was able to kicked our rear ends both times we invade them unlike the Mexicans. Hell when we burn their capital city York at the time they ended up burning Washington in return.

We sure do have the moral high ground when it come to invading our neighbors NOT.

It is a lie that California and the Southwest was controlled by Mexico. It was not. Mexico only had a few small cities on the coast. The land was controlled by Native Americans.

This is the way it is on those rare occasions when anybody does what they said they will do against the wishes of the capital W town insiders.

A very beautiful thing to see. Let the pugilism escalate.

Sorry but as a natural born citizen I could even run again Trump if I care to, assuming that Trump is still president in 2020 so no you and trump can not deported me for not sharing your view of US history.

Of course if the ICE removed all the 7-11 clerks and I can no longer get a cup of morning coffee that might force me to leave and I do love Cancun.

Wonderful used of high paid ICE agents.

Universal medical care is standard in most of the advance world nations except the US.

In fact there was an interesting tv news program a few years ago covering how Americans are marrying Canadian for health care coverage,

Not sure the statue of Mexico but it is highly unlikely to be worst then the US.

So where is the cutoff line for when territorial gains are accepted? 50 years, 100, 500, a 1000? Should France give back Brittany? Or what about Spain should they give back Aragon? Italy could give back Naples if you like. Or perhaps we should divide up the USA into 100 pieces and give a small part to each of the Native American Tribes? We are and always have been an aggressive and militaristic country. That is who we are and it is the reason we have been so successful.

With California being the worst poverty state in the country, that'd be the one to give away.

Taken to its logical conclusion the USA would have to give the continental USA back to the Indians, and all US citizens who are not of Indian descent put to death and incinerated -- because there is no undiscovered land for US citizens to go to. That's just how it is if you want full justice.

Minus the stupid wall part yes. Most other countries have a point system including Canada which liberals keep screaming is the country we should be modeling ourselves after. Mexico imprisons their illegals that come up from Central and South America. Why is everyone so shocked that the US would simply bring its immigration laws in line with our two neighbors? Get rid of the stupid lottery system and let people in based on education and work history and the value they can bring to the US. If we need more workers we just expand the work visa allotment. As far as Dreamers go if they work they can stay, if they haven't worked and lived off benefits they can go. Most of the ones I know work and are a plus to society so they have nothing to fear. Its the lazy shits in the welfare states like California that have to worry and since they didn't work they can go **** themselves.

Not having a physical barrier is obviously for the purpose of either 1.) wanting illegal immigrants or 2.) wanting to assault illegal immigrants.

What is the alternative? Painting a "death line" on the ground? If a group is standing 1 foot on their side of the border, we will have storm police every 100 yards ready to rush out with clubs, tasers and guns to capture them if they put a foot over the line?

No wall guarantees 3 results: 1.) Continued mass illegal immigration into the USA, 2.) more of our border patrol officers killed and 3.) more illegal migrants killed. I guess a lot of Democrats want all that to happen.

Yep, I voted yes. Gotta address this issue, and stop ignoring it, or doing only lip service. I just think that as long as business wants cheap illegal labor, nothing will really be done, except some cosmetics, to make people think congress is doing their job. But then, I remember when reagan gave illegals amnesty, a one time deal, and congress was supposed to act and fix the problem so amnesty would not be needed again. How did that work out? The same way this will work out, given powerful elites demand illegal immigration.

Yes, as long as HB! visas are no longer used to undermine wages, and to get cheaper labor in fields which should be subject to supply and demand, instead of using HB1s to get out of paying higher wages for specialized high tech jobs.

El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica should also help pay for the wall because it is their citizens who mostly enter in Mexico to set-up "shop" in these United states of [North] America as well. But I do support what you have stated in your post.
It is time to take off the proverbial "velvet gloves" with many other nations. On this note, the democrats and their supporters need to cough up some cash as well; this also includes their financial backers. I am about leaving no stone in its place. The entire garden, path and walkways need to be uprooted in order for the success of the plan that President Trump seeks to put into place work actually work for the benefit of all involved who seek to stop the insanity of immigration and migration that has been years in the making.

BillRM, excuse my intrusion into the conversation, but the border issue was settled a long time ago with Mexico. Being that the current borders of these United States is duly recognized by both parties (the U.S. and Mexico), there is no back-peddling now. Violation of any borders and boundaries, is an act of war, which is why I did not support the U.S. occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan; borders were erected for a reason.

I'm pretty sure that they recently doubled the cost of those VISAs to something like 200k.

We do need to keep them because natural born Americans are too busy getting squishy and easy degrees like education, journalism and creative writing.
