So much for states rights huh? I will be out of a job when all the Mexicans flee and won't even be able to burn one to pass the time while unemployed.
very dumb move...what the (*)(*)(*)(*) are you smoking (*)(*)(*)(*) man you will lose next election over this idiots....(*)(*)(*)(*)*****.
libreal state legislators are just push overs to pot heads currently in states and only want the loosen up laws for more SELFISH tax revenue at the expense of heath of the public.
Trump is dead wrong on the issue. The war on drugs is a 20th Century failure. Time to move into the 21st, Republicans.
I actually agree with enforcement. It is against federal law and should be enforced. Personally, I would have no issue with legalization, but until it is, I expect laws to be enforced.
Let people make up their own minds about what they do with their body. - - - Updated - - - No it shouldn't. Enforcing marijuana laws are a colossal waste of resources! I'd rather pay for illegal alien health care than to prosecute a man for smoking a ******ned leaf.
The negative impact of marijuana on public health, if it exists at all, is certainly less than that of tobacco or alcohol.
the drug war was fought wrongly cracking down on the supply chain traffickers much more longer sentences is needed with the wall being built along the border will be a lot more effective then in the past wars.
Well I do agree laws are made to be followed. I also agree if you don't like a law change it. So I'm advocating changing the law. I do wonder what this means for Colorado, Washington and the six other states who have recently legalized recreational marijuana. Oh I'm also into state rights.
You are free to feel as you do but feelings don't determine enforcement of our laws. I would suggest changing the law.
Yeah God forbid we actually have the freedom to choose whether we want to partake or not. Public health? The truth of the matter is that all the horror stories anti legalization people said would happen, never did happen. Of course they will point to a couple of stories and say it is widespread, but that is a lie.
We amended our Constitution by a popular vote to treat it like alcohol. Hillary won our state though, so I fully expect Trump to march in and overturn the will of the people.
I support the move, but it should pass first through proposition and votes of the states concerned, we are still a democratic country.
I can't be sleep deprived without being impaired. Nor is impairment the only health issue. If you are talking about driving, legalizing marijuana does nor legalize driving under the influence.
I know people who get impaired after one drink, and I can function totally fine after one hit of a joint. Driving fatalities have actually decreased in Colorado since recreational was passed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...at-near-historic-lows/?utm_term=.83474df10888 Of course there are problems now and again, but what in this world doesn't have it's problems? Freedom is messy.
If Trump cares about business and States Rights, he will order Sessions to keep his hands off of Colorado's billion dollar pot business. (As well as any other state that has legalized recreational pot) Spicer, as usual, makes a ridiculous misstatement that he is going to have to walk back. If Trump wants to raise tax revenue, he should push for Federal legalization. Problem solved.
I'm torn I think adults should be entitled to get baked all they like, but unfortunately I'm realistic and damn well know that as it stands today, cannabis, concentrates and eatables are being resold to juveniles. Recreational and Medical were poorly approved and is hardly being kept from those that shouldn't be allowed to partake until they have some time to develop! I grew up high, but the one thing activists fail to mention is potency, the THC levels today are leaps and bounds of what they were 60'70'80'90' todays 100% concentrates are brain bakers, how a 12 year olds can three dab wax and still function is beyond my comprehension! Then again they're not actually doing to much productively either, my question is, will they be worth a damn when that day comes, I have my doubts!
