The Bible has multiple/conflicting versions of Jesus' "resurrection", so they'd have to decide which part of the Bible got the most important part of the whole book all wrong. :)

Voting Libertarian really is the true Resistance to Washington bullshit. Anyone who complains about the swamp then continues to vote for the same alligators are just lemmings.

Realistically, the best gains Libertarians can hope to make are in local and state elections. We need a broader, larger base. Most gains would be with Independents but also with Democrats and Republicans who feel their party no longer represents them.

Mike arrived at my office one day and before too long, I located him a two story home here that he believed was well suited to him as he would marry the woman he loved. Mike told me an interesting story of Chuck Yeager. When Yeager was a General, Mike was then in the Air Force and piloted the Air force equal to the DC-6 as I recall. Mike flew him from somewhere in the West to Washington DC. Mike said he was very great to get along with and he enjoyed flying him east. This happened to me around 1981 and while Mike may have said more, I simply do not recall all he said. Mike left the Air Force and when he was my client, he worked as a Negotiator for an aerospace firm i believe. Mike had a job as a pilot on a small airlines but said that his training in the Air Force to fly prop aircraft was a block to him flying civilian jets so he got laid off.

Libertarians don't support Obama's ideology on record. It flies smack in the face of it.

Voting Libertarian does not mean your vote counts. It means you spent your vote so a Democrat was able to win.

But the thinking is that to get that party up to competitive levels in the FUTURE, one should vote for them NOW, even though, like with say voting for Ross Perot, it will hurt your favored candidates in the short term. It's a long-term, not short-term, strategy.

Libertarians do not represent me. And the reason why is the same reasoning the horseshit party does not represent me or the fish mongers party does not represent me. They are simply too weak and underfunded and hell, voting for them is similar to voting for that homeless man sleeping on the street. He has great principles but not nearly enough support.

Many European countries have more than two parties, so why not America, I suppose.

What is Obama's ideology? Isn't it just Democrat ideology?

Agreed. America does have several parties but the lemmings keeps pushing the two major ones.

I am 80. Sorry but what is long term to you may not be achievable for me. Ross Perot gave us Clinton. I warned my pals saying they would vote for Perot despite them saying Clinton never would do, they would hand the election to Clinton. And sadly i was correct.

Frankly their goals and principles line up with my own. But voting for them helps the Democrats so i pass.

Since you feel the Republican party fully represents your interests, you should vote for them. That's how it works.

Bullshit. By that logic, Nader gave us Bush and everyone who voted third party gave us Trump.

I read the word "freedom" TWICE in the Libertarian columns, and I gotta admit that I'm now sporting a tremendous woody - signed, FreedomSeeker. :)

But I think that PEROT got a much bigger share of the vote than most all OTHER 3rd party candidates did in other years - and that election was a fairly CLOSE one, as well. IIRC, Perot, before he backed out and then got back into the race, was actually LEADING in some polls.

    18.9% of the vote. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1992

I liked both Perot and GHW Bush, but voted Perot. He lost the confidence of a lot of voters by pulling out before coming back. After Clinton won, I voted Republican until "the party left me" after 2008.

Yes, "pulling out before coming" is never a good idea.

Wait - sorry, WHAT were we talking about again (it's getting late)?

Fun fact, our favorite leftist loud-mouth (Whoopi) has been boned by TWO guys on this same thread (Ted Danson, and also by Clark Kent's pushy boss) - honest. Wow, what are the odds!? Either that's just a weird wild coincidence, or maybe she's just a real....well....er, uh, nevermind.
