No it isn't. I can tell you have no idea what communism is, so you make jokes to hide behind.

 

They also thought that it meant simply money management, and not a complete and utter change of the lifestyle they were accustomed to. They wanted to see poor folk given stuff (not their stuff, of course), but thought somehow that wouldn't involve them personally working 10 hour days, 7 days a week, doing whatever the state told them to do.

 

And if you champion the idea (communism) in even the remotest sense, while proclaiming yourself liberal, then you have even less than 'no idea'.

 

Go find your opportunity in actual working commune. See how quickly ideals on personal freedom and self-expression are beaten out of you.

 

The USSR was communism - and they failed miserably. Communism is a failed ideology. It's failing in North Korea (they allegedly will run out of money around October), and failing in Cuba (like N Korea, the barbaric Cuban gov't won't even allow people to emigrate, vote, or have home internet.)

Actually, many communists DON'T discriminate against, say, gays - but God/Jesus (Bible) certainly do. So I guess that God/Jesus/Bible (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says gays [get burned in a lake of fire and] don't get into "heaven") are MORE evil than even communists are. Wow - now THAT'S evil!
A good rule of thumb is: if your religion is more evil than even the USSR was, then you should immediately leave your religion.

Can you even do the most basic thing of telling me what communism is according to Marx? I've only posted it about a dozen times on this forum in the last year. So tell me what he said so you can see that there has never been any communist society. Can you distinguish between communist ideology and communist society?

The problem is that these cosseted children are so isolated from the world and from history, that they've convinced themselves communism will be Portland, Oregon, but with better welfare and more arts grants. They are profoundly ignorant.

No they are not the same - communism does NOT send all honest/hard working "non-believers" in communism to a barbaric "lake of fire" (which most Christians/Muslims approve of their God/Allah doing!), so even though communists are evil, they are far superior to religious people.

Basically, neither of them approve of freedom of THOUGHT. Modern Secular Humanism is about freedom.

Meantime, I know easily half a dozen Idiot Children who call themselves Communists (every one of whom is from the cosseted middle classes or above), who literally think communism means more money, but no impost. Communism has traditionally, actually, in the real world, been totalitarian socialism. Not good! You might be taking a more "academic/theoretical" approach than I am - and that's perfectly fine. But the REALITY is that communism is a failed system. The barbarian Fidel Castro had 7000 - yes, 7000!, political prisoners killed - a true mad man.
