Yes, It does make perfect sense.

Assad tried to build North Korean style nuclear reactor for the production of nuclear weapons, just like Iran did.

Israel wont stand for Assad to stay in power, furthermore, the elimination of all iranian allies are required before the invasion of Iran begins.

What doesnt make sense is obama idiotic statements and those who support them.

democrats would have us believe syrians starved for more than 3 years before they rioted....

    Its just dumb

You know Obama is in trouble when his go-to expert on climate change is Leonardo DiCaprio. LOL When is Leo selling his private party jet?

No, you connected none of that to the advent of civil war in Syria.

You'll have to explain your thinking when you say "It's just dumb".

I just find it odd then that most scientists seem to agree that the Sahara desert is at least 2-3 million years old, with some who recently seem to think that it may even be up to 7 million years old.

    From SMITHSONIAN:

The Sahara Is Millions of Years Older Than Thought

It's California dumb as in poor water management combined with a growing population and more agriculture. Actual reduction in precipitation was minor from 1930 to present.

The US supported the Arab spring with money and arms causing the current fiasco. Bush implemented the pre-emptive strike and Obama implemented nation building based on feelings. If we had not interfered Libya would still be whole and Syria would not be the mess it is today.

The Arab Spring was well under way before we were involved. It was the people revolting against their own governments.

sure, syrians would be dead if they starved for 3+ years before they "rioted"

No, I don't believe any significant number of people would allow themselves to die of starvation before complaining.

Farmers left their farms and came to the cities. Assad had no answer - other than lethal military force.

This is a serious concern, as this same problem can happen in other places where the state doesn't have the capability of dealing with changes that damage agriculture.

Think if this had been India, not Syria.

Note what's happening in Bangladesh and the wall that India is building to prevent immigration. Note that China is rerouting a significant river so it flows to China, not Bangladesh. Take a look at what's happening in Chile/Equador/Peru. Notice that Russia is claiming significant parts of the Arctic where ice is receding, leaving them with what they see as justification for enlarging their nation. etc.

Can't do that without weapons. One of the disasters was our Manpads we sent started showing up in Iraq killing our own. The CIA compound and embassy outpost in Beghazi was there to try and get them back.

So? California historically has droughts, one lasted 200 years. California's problem is lack of planning for the inevitable.

Climate change deniers never see the need to plan because everything is climate variability. And they will fight tooth and nail to make sure no action is taken. Just read the posts.

People do underestimate the importance of weeds. Most farmers and gardeners do their best to rid of them typically at the hands of lethal chemicals.

Don't be silly. No one is advocating dumping toxic waste into our air or water. The rest of what I said is what it is. Pseudoscience and green technology go hand in hand for power hungry politicians. I wish it were truly in the name of saving the planet, but alas, you've been duped by the Al Gore's of the world.

There have been field trials done with cover crops. They planted plots monoculture and plots with a diverse mix in dry conditions. The monoculture plots dried up and the diverse plots did very well. At this time my pasture is dried up. I have put my goats on a small area and have been bringing the forage to them. Even without rain my empty land is recovering slowly. But a good rain would help. Biodiversity is the key to proper land management IMHO.

I use alfalfa pellets for nitrogen in the garden. Grows everything, including weeds, like crazy.

ON THE WAY BACK IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS...........,..................................................,....
I increase biodiversity. Increase biomass (plant cover). Increase photosynthesis. Increase in uptake and manufacture of oxygen. Increase in accumulation of organic matter. Increase in nutrient cycling. Increase in fertility. Increase in infiltration and retention of rainfall. Positive changes in soil moisture. Positive changes in relative humidity. Positive changes in weather. Positive changes in climate.

I have not. I've read that prolonged exposure is not good for PH balance. What about Peat Moss?
