The Blue Wave Fizzled - Trump is the big winner

What are the top three things the Democrats are going to do to get some work done. How is a divided government especially with the Democrats in control of one of the three bodies condusive to getting work done?

 

Are you going to impeach trump based on what?

His tax returns?

 

Gun control
Single payer
Real Immigration reform

 

They do not plan to get anything done other than make ugly faces at trump

 

What a useless agenda

Particularly on immigration

 

Trump agenda is shut down

 

They have a duty of oversight of the executive branch an for example it would be interesting to see how greatly Trump is disobeying the emolument clause of the constitution an is using his office to enrich himself and his family.

 

Probably so

But for two years you get nuthin for nuthin

 

Maybe Trump will try pursuing a more tempered and sensible agenda.

At least until impeachment gets underway.

Yes unless we are just going to grant him powers similar to Putin he will turn over the forms as Nixon turn over his tapes.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler: Trump is “going to learn he’s not above the law”

“This election was about accountability,” Nadler said, adding, “Donald Trump may not like hearing it but for the first time, his administration is going to be held accountable.”

Nadler continued: “He’s going to learn that he’s not above the law.”

He said that his committee would probe the administration’s family separation policy, gun safety, environmental laws and health care policies — the failure to defend the affordable care act in the Supreme Court.

He said if the administration tries to interfere with the Mueller probe, his panel will try to protect the inquiry and push the administration to preserve the records.

Nadler said that his committee is “not planning to do impeachment proceedings.... We’ll see where the mueller investigation goes.”

“I think it’s way too early to talk about impeachment,” Nadler said. “We have to see what the Mueller investigation comes up with.”

He said there are still open questions — about whether Trump worked with the Russians or obstructed justice.

“If there are no longer open questions, then we will have to make judgement and we will go from there.”

Investigations, investigations, investigations into Trumps corrupt administration in order to trash Trump before the 2020 election just like the GOP controlled congress did to Hillary. That’s how the game is played now thanks to the Benghazi extravaganza. If the Dems are smart they will trash Trump and his administration continuously right up to the election to soften him up for the kill in 2020. Hopefully they will come up with an opponent that isn’t as horrible as last time.

The nice thing about dems taking the house is that the country will see how absolutely damaging the dems are again to the well being of this country, and pretty much guarantee a republican win for president in 2020.

 

There is a hell of a lot more than that to subpoena. The possibilities are endless in a corrupt swamp administration like this one.

 

GOP Delusions of grandeur

 

Anyone can have an opinion but, is it informed. Your lord trump could spread his butt cheeks pass gas and you would be claiming the room smelled like roses.

We have a "booming economy" - Unemployment at "all time lows" Those on food stamps at an "all time low" - wages rising .. and so on.

Trump is "Making America Great Again" - Don't we all agree ??

Apparently not. All this greatness created by Trump and Republican's got their asses handed to them all over the nation. A number of Senate races were won by the thinnest of margins - Red could have easily lost the Senate.

I stated previously that the mid terms would be decided by the middle - the "anti Establishment" movement which continues to grow. This is the group that handed Trump the election. What the AE gives - the AE takes away .. and the middle has spoken.

Trump campaigned on being "anti Establishment". We knew Hillary was an Establishment insider. While many perhaps suspected Trump would be an elitist Establishment wonk - we did not know for sure.

Now that Trump's colors have been paraded around on stage for 2 years .. we know for sure.

"You Think" ?! .. That was your first mistake "thinking again". Trump lost. Trump is a "loser".

To be honest this is perhaps more about Red Establishment being losers. They had both houses of congress and the Presidency and they acted like clowns.

What did the Dem's do to win ? What was their plain - what was their message - what did they give us to "vote for" ? Nothing. The same tired old platitudes that everyone is tired of .. and they did not even do a good job of getting that message out.

The only thing blocking Red from making further gains - a filibuster proof majority - was RED ... and the loud mouth authoritarian elitist xenophobic nut job sitting in the Whitehouse.

 

Lol, the dems did worse than expected. We already knew they would take the house. It’s a historical trend that always happens. This is just going to make a 2020 republican presidential victory that much easier as the dems become the party of no. They will be seen as obstructionists that hurt the country.

 

What information? Tax returns? The House is absolutely entitled to request tax returns from the IRS.
