Why is free college (or job training) "plain stupid?" Now, I happen to think there should be some cost, but inexpensive tuition makes sense. We have less upward social mobility than in many OECD countries.

Hmmm. Seems like you don't like giving young people an opportunity to succeed. We had free K-12 education when a high school diploma was a big deal.

Me, too, but so what? Should we cancel Medicare because we didn't use to have it? How about Social Security? That, too?

How about subsidizing it so people who attend have "skin in the game?"
