How Did Donald Trump cheat in the 2016 election?

It has been repeatedly claimed in the impeachment trial that Donald Trump "cheated" in the 2016 election and would certainly do it again. I've heard the same claim repeatedly on line.

How?

I will freely acknowledge that the Russians wanted Trump to win and I'll freely admit that the Russians tried to help Donald Trump win. I'll even acknowledge the possibility that Donald Trump knew about this assistance and welcomed it. I don't take his comment about the Russians finding Hillary's emails to be even remotely serious though.

But how did he actually "cheat"? Were any votes actually changed? Were the vote totals at any precincts altered in any way? I've yet to hear how despite the Russians best efforts anything actually happened in the 2016. Much less anything major enough to change the outcome of the national election.

 

To some, the notion of civic nationalism is so foreign that only blaming evil russians helps them understand.

I mean who wouldn't want a global government...

 

I don’t think he cheated. Putin is too smart to involve Trump. But I think it is very telling that our biggest geopolitical rival took extraordinary steps to get Trump elected.

He cheated by having the audacity to defeat a bad opponent after the Left was ready to declare her a queen. That was the great crime. Ultimately that was why he was impeached.

 

It would appear that all good leftists know Putin. Why else would they look for him under their bed and in their closet every night before going to sleep?

In 2016 it was nowhere near as flagrant as this. But he and his campaign most definitely cheated. And what we know is that his campaign was involved in cheating. Just a few of many examples....

(The investigation identified no similar connections between the IRA and the Clinton Campaign .) First, on multiple occasions, members and surrogates of the Trump Campaign promoted-typically by linking, retweeting , or similar methods of reposting pro-Trump or anti-Clinton content published by the IRA through IRA-controlled social media accounts.

However, most of this is redacted (HOM). And to believe that Trump didn't know about it is ludicrous. I don't think that his "Russia, if you're listening" was some sort of "coordination". But it's not impossible. And even if not a coordination, a message he hoped would move the Russians to act. Which, in fact, it did.

There is, of course, another form of cheating about which Trump most definitely knew and actively participated in.

There is no doubt that Trump cheated. Was this what got him elected? Probably not. But looks like, from this, he understood the power of cheating, and decided to go all in this time around.

Bottom line, our electoral system is one of the most precious things our people has. And even an attempt to subvert it should be completely rejected by any patriotic American.

 

I don't have to personally know him to estimate his intelligence.

Yes, Putin went all out and spent literally 0.00000002% of the entire amount spent on the election.

 

Do you really think that the efforts by the Russians actually changed the election so that Trump won? Just to be specific, do you think Clinton would have won if it weren't for the Russians?

1) It is completely undeniable that Russia intervened in 2016 to help Trump and hurt Clinton.

Clinton was going down slow, couldn't work much, couldn't travel much, tired, low energy.

 

I am acknowledge that he is a formidable enemy. That beats underestimating him.

 

Yeah, she pretty much stopped campaigning towards the end compared to Trump. I bet she has some serious health issues that we don't know about.

What they said about Hillary was true and the Russians really succeeded in assisting Trump to become the POTUS, he is a Russian endorsed US President that will certainly propel their very own national interest and agenda. But it is still cheating because the information about Hillary was not taken legally.
