You are very welcome to your statement and you are very welcome here, but your 'facts' are not in order.

There are over 450 million people living in Europe, 330 million live in the USA, that's 120 million people more.
Yes, Europe is getting hammered by the fall wave, but in most places in Europe, the positivity rate is LESS than in the USA. See: posting #12774:

    EOD general quick analysis for 2020-11-012, posted 2020-11-013, 09:56 GMT +2, #12774.
See also: my file for countries not screenshotted for 2020-11-012

Current positivity rate in the USA: 6.65%

    In Germany? 3.00%
    In the UK? 3.44%
    In Italy? 5.86%
    -------------------------------------
    In Spain? 7.66%
    In France? 10.25%

So, FACT is: in the 5 most populous nations in Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK), in 3 of the 5, the positivity rate is LESS than in the USA, while in 2 of 5, the positivity rate is MORE than in the USA.

Current death rate in the USA: 2.29%

    In Germany? 1.64%
    In France? 2.26%
    ------------------------------------
    In Spain? 2.72%
    In the UK? 3.95%
    In Italy? 4.09%

Again, FACT is: in the 5 most populous nations in Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK), in 2 of the 5, the death rate is LESS than in the USA, while in 3 of 5, the death rate is MORE than in the USA.

And more importantly, the wave hit Europe at least 3 weeks before it hit the USA, so let's see where the USA's numbers are in three weeks from now, and I can guarantee you, with the USA now AVERAGING over +133,000 cases per day and ICUs being overfilled, the USA's numbers are going to worsen considerably, while Europe's numbers will improve since the 5 major nations in Europe have now been in Lockdown for 2 weeks, while the USA is still open as if nothing has happened.

So, no, the experience of Western Europe has NOT been the same, regardless of leadership. Your feelings may tell you that, but actual FACTS do not align with your feelings. In other words, you are erroneously claiming facts not in existence.

I have never given Trump the blame for the pandemic reaching America's shores. I DO give him blame for deliberately LYING to the American people all the time after January 29th,2020, when upper-ups in the administration who were in the know told him point blank how deadly this thing was and then on February 7th, 2020, he told Bob Woodward, ON AUDIO, for all to hear with their own ears, that he knew the following:

    1. C19 is airborne
    2. C19 is incredibly infectious, including on normal surfaces that people touch
    3. C19 is FIVE times deadlier than the normal flu.

He KNEW these things, he said them point-blank to Bob Woodward. And then, he went out in public and lied to us, WE THE PEOPLE, for months and months on end, called the pandemic a Democratic hoax, said it would go back to zero, it would go away, no one would really get sick, it was just the flu - all a pack of lies, over and over and over again. He poo-poo'ed the use of mouth-nose coverings, also known as face-masks, to considerably slow the spread of the infection. It turns out, Kushner actually DID have a pandemic plan, but as Trump saw that Blue states were getting hurt the worst, he told Kushner to not enact the plan: he wanted to see Blue states suffer. This is the worst possible dereliction of duty that a president can even think of committing and is not far from incitement to homocide. He sent our PPE off to China and then played the shell-game with the remaining PPE that left in the USA, forcing states to compete with each other in order to get some PPE at all. He completely relinquished all responsibility for what happened, forcing states to band together in order to confront the pandemic on their own.

So, what Trump did, through his deliberate, unpatriotic, unamerican, treacherous, treasonous lies, was to set the USA in a timeline where the pandemic would hit far worse than it would have had he actually told the truth. Had he actually told the truth as early as February 7th, then this timeline that we are now forced to live-in would never have existed. The Pandemic would still be here, but right now we would all be shock to be seeing +30,000 cases a day in November 2020, instead of +133,000.

You cannot argue with even one single point that I wrote, because this is all cold, hard fact. I used to think that Republicans at least believed in telling the truth. I don't beliee that anymore.

Want more facts? Here's another fact for you:

it has now been 10 days since Joe Biden beat Trump like a drum at the polls and is now our President-elect. I ask you: in those 10 days since losing the election, has President Trump said even one single word about the Pandemic? No, he has not uttered even one single word. Over the last 9 months, he has offered not even one single word of condolence to the families who have lost loved one, he has offered not even one single word of praise for health care workers, the vast majority of whom have been working non-stop the last nine months, some double-and-triple shifts with no extra pay and with self-made, improvised PPE, to the point of utter exhaustion. In fact, during his end-rallies, without masks and without social distancing, Trump spead the vicious, unpatriotic, unamerican, treasonous, treacher lie that doctors were faking deaths as C19 deaths in order to get more money. Now, that is just plain old ****ing perverse. No, Trump has done nothing that a real President, one who actually loves the American people, would have done. All Trump has done, and is doing even until this moment, is to thing about himself. It's all about him, 24/7. And America has paid the price for his insatiable ego.

Fact is: Donald Trump has failed miserably and this is why, when all is said and done, well over 80 million people will have voted for Joe Biden in order to kick the sonofabitch Trump out of office. So, no, people are not blaming Trump for 'whatever'. They are blaming him for being an abject failure right at the time when America really needed a real president, one who was willing to do the job. They are blaming him for his deliberate actions and inactions that have made this pandemic far, far, FAR worse in the USA. It did not need to be this way, but here we are.

I wish I could say that I feel sorry for your obvious ignorance of facts, but after experiencing the raw hatred and abuse from Trumpsuckers all over the place for more than 4 years, I do not feel sorry for you at all. Not even one little bit. It is what it is, and you will forever have to live with Trump's horrific failures as our President.

The USA just jumped +1,000,000 Covid-19 cases, from 10,000,000 on Friday, 2020-11-006, to 11,000,000 today, Friday, 2020-11-013.

The USA is the first nation on earth to jump +1,000,000 cases in just one week.

UPDATED PERMANENT DISCLAIMER AS OF 2020-11-009

    Short COVID-19 analysis for Friday, 2020-11-013 (GMT +0 - Greenwich / 20:00 EDT)
Worldwide and 'dreadnaught' nations circa 1,500,000 COVID-19 cases upwards

The USA has now surpassed 250,000 COVID-19 deaths.

That's a quarter of a million people dead from this virus in the USA alone.

In the USA, Los Angeles has now refunctioned Dodgers Stadium as a Covid-19 testing site. It is now the largest testing site in the world.

6 lanes of traffic lead into the stadium.

They are testing from 8am to 8pm every day, including Sundays.

Well okay, maybe not 'easily', but SIMPLY. The solution is simple.

Shut down all movement, no exceptions. Hold that position for a couple of months, and the disease has nowhere to go. It literally dies out.

Not when you have 72 million "free spirits" who prefer death and destruction over science.

Did you see that South Dakota has a 56% positivity rate? Things are going to get very ugly, very quickly.

I'm not in favor of this. I just want people to learn concepts, like what masks do/don't do, what distancing does/doesn't do, what ventilation does, inside v outside, viral load, etc. Armed with knowledge, we can conquer. When there's a lack of understanding about basic science, we lose. We end up fighting over water droplets, while the number of people currently in the hospital with COVID, is off the charts. Currently, nationwide, 70,000 people are in the hospital with COVID.

Compare the angle of the slope from 3/19 - 3/30 to the angle of the slope from 11/5 - 11/14 in the chart above.

    USA_Daily_Deaths_111520.PNG

Deaths are always a lagging indicator and I doubt that it will be as steep a rise again but just going by the sheer VOLUME of New Cases by December we could be back in the 2k deaths/day range unfortunately.

The vaccines are not yet available so MITIGATION is still the best means to remain safe until they arrive.

UPDATED PERMANENT DISCLAIMER AS OF 2020-11-009

    Short COVID-19 analysis for Saturday, 2020-11-014 (GMT +0 - Greenwich / 20:00 EDT)
Worldwide and 'dreadnaught' nations circa 1,500,000 COVID-19 cases upwards

NEW as of 2020-11-015: I am making a change in the reporting and in the excel tables: for the worldwide figures, since we are crossing over a million-mark literally every two days, sometimes, each day, starting at 60 million, I will only be reporting "THE WORLD WENT OVER BLAH BLAH BLAH" everY ten-million cases instead of every 1 million. If you look at the symbols to the left and the right of each of these totals, each round flower symbol stands for 10 million cases and each asterisk stands for 1 million. So, soon, for the worldwide numbers, I will only be reporting the round number changes when a new flower symbol is added. And in the excel table for the worldwide figures, as of 60 million, I will be highlighting in a new color and only once every 10 million cases.

And the worst thing about this is that states within the USA that are geographically large but very sparsely populated (ND, SD, WY, ID, MT) have far less hospitals and will be more easily overrun that states with more and larger cities. This is already happening in a large rural province in Belgium, where the shortest care-flight route for people who are so hard hit by the disease is over the border to either Trier and Aachen in Germany. Medical personnel in Bonn (a good bit away from those two cities) have already been rerouted to both Trier and Aachen. And Belgium's health care system overall is superior to what you are going to find in the Dakotas.

So, yeah, we have a major problem on our hands, to say the least.

MEXICO GOES OVER 1,000,000 TOTAL CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES (2020-11-015)
As I was writing the quick analysis for 2020-11-014, Mexico's stats for today, 2020-11-015, came in.

Mexico moved at a snail's pace to get there (which I prefer to racing, in the case of C19), but it got there and is now the 11th nation on Earth to pass the 1,000,000-marker.

Simply = global lockdown? That works on a computer model but we are not 1's and 0's, only a tiny % have the capacity to truly isolate such as yourself.

For the rest its The devil and the deep blue sea.

You only need to shut down your own nation. What good would a shutdown in some distant country, or even a global shutdown, do for America? What a strange idea!

When we recently had a single state experience an outbreak with rapidly escalating numbers, we only had to shut down THAT state. The rest of the country stayed open. Because we shut down that state very quickly, it worked to prevent the spread to other states. That state now hasn't had a single case or death for weeks, and has more or less re-opened. In fact the nation as a whole now has very little COVID. The few cases we get now are locked up in quarantine after returning from overseas. Clearly we are '1's and 0's', because we're talking about many millions of people, all living different levels of 'isolation', and yet we've still managed to almost eradicate the virus.

I'm often prompted to wonder if Americans actually grasp what a real lockdown looks like, because it really seems most only know the voluntary version (which only works in highly compliant and conformist populations like Japan's). A proper mandatory lockdown means no work, no school, no going out, no leaving home for anything except essentials (and only once a day, and no more than two people together), no visiting other homes or visitors to your own home, all state and national borders closed, and no travel further than a mile or two from home. That's how it was done in all the countries which have had great success with the virus.

There literally is no other way to do it. The virus is a living organism, so you have to starve it to death. Keep feeding it by allowing people to do whatever they want, and you'll be at the mercy of the thing forever. While that may not bother you if you're relatively young and healthy, your hospitals are going to be horribly compromised, and even more people will die due to unavailability of ordinary medical services. Plus, the never-ending impact on your economy is insane. Had you eradicated it fast and hard you'd be fully open again and mask free now, just as we are.

PS: In answer to the expected 'but you can't keep your national borders closed forever!'. Actually you can keep them closed for a very long time, because they only need to be closed for outgoing non-essential travel. All incoming citizens (no foreign nationals, obviously) are held in quarantine for two weeks and undergo multiple COVID tests before being released. If the only people leaving the country are essential business or compassionate cases, that really isn't a lot of people returning. Freight carries on as usual, so no issues with commerce in that sense.

COVID-19 worldwide statistical analysis for the week of 2020-11-009 through 2020-11-015
    (GMT +0 - Greenwich = 20:00 EDT):

    ֍֍֍֍֍**** 54,806,356****֍֍֍֍֍
A record-shattering +4,083,356 cases over the Sunday before (was +3,918,386 one week earlier).
THE WORLD WENT OVER 51,52,53 & 54 MILLION TOTAL CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES ALL IN 1 WEEK

    TOTAL C19 cases: 168 nations with 1,000+, 114 with 10,000+, 84 with 50,000+, 57 with 100,000+,
    11 with 1,000,000+, 1 with 10,000,000+

There have now been 1,324,094 COVID-19 deaths worldwide, +62,347 of them occured in this week (+56,703 the week before).
    ---------------------------------------------------------

Worldwide WEEKLY rolling averages: record-shattering +583,337 new C19 cases per day / +8,907 deaths per day

For the +deaths for the top nations, see new table (under the rubrik worktable)
The number of serious/critical (ICU) cases worldwide: 98,810 (+6,237 over the week before)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    STAT'S EXCEL-TABLE:

It was a huge newsweek on the COVID-19 front...another two nations surged over the 1,000,000-mark. Mexico is about to go over 100,000 deaths.

Also, the world went over +500,000 cases for 6 of the last 7 days and over +600,000 on 3 of those 6.

And the huge explosion of cases in Europe, above all others, in France, cannot go unnoticed.

The USA had it's worst week on record.

If you compare the weekly average of this week before to the preceeding week, you will see that the average +daily cases rose considerably (+583,337 vs +559,769 the week before, a significant jump) and the average daily deaths also rose (+8,907 the week before to +8,100 now). That translates to 405 C19 infections and 6.75 deaths PER MINUTE, EVERY MINUTE.

There can be no doubt about it: the 2nd major wave for the entire world is now here and we are all in the thick of it.

By clicking on the hyperlink (in the title), you can learn to interpret the worksheet. You can see that for the entire week, there were 27 nation-rubrik changes, 8 more than the week before, you can note them for yourselves.

The way the rubrik table is presented, you can easily (and mathematically) see how the week has developed until its end.

In terms of +cases and +deaths over the week, per country:

So, after a lot of thought, I realized that publishing the +cases and +deaths just for Sunday within the weekly EOW report is silliness, so I have concentrated myself on the top nations that have I have been tracking and made a handy table that will be updated once per week:

I did not do the math by hand, but rather, per input in the excel table. It's the same table four times over in this screenshot, just sorted four ways. In the upper left, it's sorted by +cases (the week from 2020-11-001 through 2020-11-008 ) over the previous week. In column B can see that the world had +3,918,386 cases over the week before. In column C, it's +3,478,798 for the week before over 2 weeks ago. If you look to the upper right, where I highlighted "+cases diff:", that's the difference in the value from this last week over the value from the week before. So, the world added 439,588 more +cases this last week than it did in the week before.

At the bottom left, it's the same story, only sorted by +deaths (meaning, weekly deaths). You can see that France is rank 2 among the nations, with +4,020 deaths over the week before. The week before that, it was +2,258 deaths, so if you look to the extreme right where I have highlighted "+deaths diff:", you will see that France suffered +1,511 more weekly deaths than the week before, 2nd place in the death misery, behind the USA.

In the differences values, a negative value is a good thing, it means there were either less +cases or less +deaths (meaning, weekly, not daily) than in the week previous.

Total cases per country, descending (this time, countries with circa +100 C19 cases and above):
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 001 -total cases.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 002 -total cases.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 003 -total cases.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 004 -total cases.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 005 -total cases.png

India is not going to be catching up to the USA in total C19 cases anytime soon. In India, the wave is verifiably receding, whilst in the USA, it is raging. For me personally, it is very jarring to see the USA in the 9-digit zone. And worse yet, it will not be the only nation to achieve this statistic.
In terms of total deaths per country, descending:
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 006 -total deaths.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 007 -total deaths.png

    The top 4:

USA, total deaths: 251,901 / 19.02% of worldwide deaths (19.32% on the Sunday before). The USA exceeded 250,000 deaths this last week.

Brazil, total deaths: 165,811 / 12.52% of worldwide deaths (12.87% on the Sunday before). Extrapolated 200,000 death date, based on the daily average of 657 deaths per day, from 2020-10-014 = New Years Day 2021.

India, total deaths: 130,109 / 9.82% of worldwide deaths (10.04% on the Sunday before). India will likely go over 200,000 C19 deaths around January 12, 2021.

Mexico, total deaths: 98,259 / 7.42% of worldwide deaths (7.51% on the Sunday before). Mexico will exceed 100,000 total C19 deaths in this coming week.

Combined (646,080), the top four nations currently represent 48,79% of all total deaths in the world to-date (was 49.74% the week before).

In terms of Total Tests administered per country:

    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 010 -total tests.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 WORLDWIDE 011 -total tests.png

    69
nations have now administered more than 1 million tests apiece, with Lithuania and Hungary having crossed the 1,000,000 during this last week; of those 69, 13 nations have performed more than 10 million apiece. Of those 12, 3 have performed more than 100 million apiece.

The USA has now surpassed China in the total number of C19 tests performed and documented.

END-FACIT: Logistical case growth, not exponential, but still, we are accumulating a huge number of C19 cases per day. In this coming week, both Russia and France will go over 2,000,000 cases,

COVID-19 in the USA: statistical analysis for for for the week of 2020-11-009 through 2020-11-015
    (GMT +0 - Greenwich = 20:00 EDT):

    ֍* 11,367,214 *֍
THE USA WENT OVER 11,000,000 TOTAL CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES DURING THIS LAST WEEK.

A record-shattering +1,078,734 new COVID-19 cases over the week before (it was +814,569 the week before that).
On 2020-11-013, with +190,428 new cases, the USA set a new +cases record for the entire world
KANSAS and ILLINOIS went over 100,000 & 500,000 total confirmed COVID-19 cases during this week, respectively.
CALIFORNIA went over 1,000,000 total confirmed COVID-19 cases during this week, the 2nd state to cross this marker.

TEXAS went over 10,000,000 total performed COVID-19 tests during this week.

The USA has now officially recorded 251,901 total COVID-19 deaths, +8,133 of those deaths were recorded during this week.
***The USA arrived at 250,000 deaths 4 days ahead of the extrapolation. See: end of analysis***

USA WEEKLY rolling average = 154,105 new infections & 1,162 deaths per day.

20,703 C19 cases in the USA are listed in critical care (+2,241 over the week before).

TOTAL PERFORMED C19 tests: 168.2 million, surpassing China and now rank 1 in the world.

Concern in the USA that Trump's refusal to concede the election to Joe Biden is hampering the transition / C19 task-force work.

    STAT'S EXCEL-TABLE:
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 USA 000.png

The USA is getting hammered by what for the world is the 2nd wave, but may simply be the 3rd loop of the 1st wave in the USA, since we never really tamped-down on the virus the first time. We saw numbers in this November week that should make everyones' skin crawl. We were damned near +200,000 new infections reported just 3 days before I am writing this report.

To give this some context, 4.5 months ago, on 2020-07-003, we all kind of gasped as the entire world jumped +200,000 cases in one day for the very first time and now the USA is about to do this all on it's own.

Further USA reached a sum-total of 1.64 million total cases on 2020-04-029, it took us 3 full months (February, March, April), or 12 weeks, to get there. We just topped that total alone in added cases - IN JUST SEVEN DAYS.

The current 7-day rolling averages calculate to = 107 new infections and 0.8 deaths per MINUTE. EVERY MINUTE. NON-STOP.

The infection rate and the rate of ICU bed use is obviously going in the wrong direction.

Worst yet, the average daily deaths has now exceeded where my extrapolation (see: bottom of analysis) pegged it to be 3 months ago . Remember, deaths are a lagging indicator, so the skyrocketing number of daily cases can only mean considerably more daily deaths starting about the 3rd week of November, 2020.

By clicking on the hyperlink (directly above this screenshot), you can learn to interpret the worksheet. For the entire week, there were 4 unit / rubrik changes: Kansas, Illinois, California and Texas.

The week before, TEXAS led in +cases the first four days of that week, while ILLINOIS lead the last 3 days. This time around, in this last week, ILLINOIS lead in +cases 6 out of 7 days and TEXAS lead only on Wednesday. Also, on 6 of the last 7 days, Midwestern states were in 3 of the top 5 +case states. So, there is no doubt that the biggest epicenter of the this current wave is in the Midwest, namely, the upper Midwest: MN, WI, MI, IL, IN and OH.

The way the rubrik table is presented, you can easily (and mathematically) see how the week has developed until its end.

COVID-19 in the USA, by all 57 UNITS, total confirmed C19 cases, descending:

COVID-19 in the USA, by all 57 UNITS, new daily cases and new daily deaths:

So, after a lot of thought, I realized that publishing the +cases and +deaths just for Sunday within the weekly EOW report is silliness, so I have concentrated myself on the top nations that have I have been tracking and made a handy table that will be updated once per week, you can see the USA at the top:

2020-11-015 COVID-19 Worldwide plus top nations - weekly diff report.png

I have decided to start a table like this for the USA only, but only on a monthly basis. The first such table will come out at the end of this month. It is a huge amount of work.

COVID-19 in the USA, by all 57 UNITS, total deaths:
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 USA 003 - total deaths.png
    2020-11-015 COVID-19 USA 004 - total deaths.png

It should not pass our attention that 2/3 of all US states have now had at least 1,000 COVID-19 deaths. We are seeing a marked rise in deaths in rural areas, where there are not as many hospitals.
COVID-19 in the USA, by all 57 UNITS, total tests performed/documented:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FACIT: we ended the 7-day period analysed with 251,901 total US deaths from COVID-19.

This means that we have currently lost the equivalent of slightly more than entire the population of LUBBOCK (TX), never to get it back again.

As of 2020-08-001, I adjusted the extrapolation upward from an estimated average +700 deaths per day (from 2020-06-001 through 2020-07-031) to an estimated average of +850 deaths per day in the USA. Here the current projected milestones:

2020-09-020: 200,000 deaths (the old extrapolation projected: 2020-10-013). 200,000 deaths were reached 5 days before, on 2020-09-015.
2020-11-003 (Election Day): 237,500 deaths. On election day, we went over 237,500 deaths and landed at 238,641.
2020-11-018: 250,000 deaths (the old extrapolation projected: 2020-12-023). 250,000 deaths were reached 4 days before, on 2020-11-014.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2020-12-031: 286,697 deaths
on New Years Eve, 2020 going into 2021.

    At current:

    2020-11-015 COVID-19 USA 008 -extrapolation.png
This means that we are currently at +4,254 deaths over the extrapolation (one week ago, it was: +2,071), which puts us also currently 5 days ahead of the next milestone-projections. The USA's current daily death average = +1,162 (one week ago, it was +1,042) which means that we are starting to accelerate over the extrapolation. Folks, we are going in the wrong direction, here. This is bad news.

I know it may be tiring to see these statistics all the time, but I do think it's important to follow the data-path every day and to put it in print, for posterity's sake, so that the naysayers cannot say "nay" without looking totally ignorant.

Just to put this into another perspective in the next week the Total Cases will exceed the entire population of the state of Ohio which is the 7th largest in the nation.

If we reach the extrapolated 286k deaths on New Years Eve that would be the equivalent of 50% of the population of the state of Wyoming.
