actually I talked about that a few pages back here below.:)

If you had any idea how the real world was you would know that yes,it has been coming down on us since CFR member Clinton sold us out by creating NAFTA,here is where you are clueless though that congress had more to do with it than our presidents."Clinton" signed NAFTA into affect which millions of americans we are still paying for.Bush esculated what his buddy and long time pal Clinton got started and now Obama has esculated what Bush got started.Every president that gets in is always a member of that corrupt CFR organization, they are willing puppets willing to do their bidding. They play off the public fooling them everytime that they are nothing like their party except they follow the same footsteps of them and the american sheepie people keep their heads buried in the sand thinking the next demopublican president or republicrat coming in is going to change things even though time after time they lie.

You guys just dont get it that america will continue to go down the path of bankrupt unless somehow we can get ron paul in office who is NOT a member of that evil organization the CFR that Clinton,Bush and Obama all are.Every president that gets in is worse than the previous one because they are here to serve the establishment and be a willing puppet.Paul would not be their willing puppet they would want him to be.He wants nothing to do with the CFR.

So once again OBAMA is being blamed because this person can't get a job-because the GOP keeps filibustering even the most elemental proposals(which many of OBAMA'S proposals were GOP proposals to start with-or had pipartisan support before OBAMA was POTUS)
I don't know this persons story,is he/she not working because he can't get paid(what he/she says their worth) so is turning down employment and being stubborn or perhaps their skill level or past history leaves employers looking for someone else with less issues-whatever. But saying he/she took me to school without knowing the whole story is just throwing out a comment to get the ego stroked by fellow GOPBAGGERS-
I doubt any of the GOPBAGGERS in here have a clue what Smoot/Haley--Glass/Stegal/Futures Modernization Act-Gramm/Leach/Bliley Act have in common/who implemented them/and why---I'm not asking anyone to go to school/I'm just saying that if some want to know why our country is in the shape it's in-you have to read these bills/do research and also know our parlimentary procedure--Instead of showing your ignorance by just blaming OBAMA because he PROMISED you a job.( House of Representatives controls the purse strings)Jobs bills they (GOP) created since taking control over a year ago------ZERO-----
OBAMA has helped create millions of jobs since he became POTUS-- He could help create millions more if the GOP would quit blocking the jobs ACT-maybe even one suitable for the person who claims OBAMA promised him/her one. But go ahead---try to take me to school on the politics-Bring it on-maybe we can all learn. I will start off with a question for you----Why is GITMO not closed?

This isn't even claimed by the White House. The White House claimed that about 2 million jobs were either created or "saved" by the first stimulus bill with the vast majority being "saved" jobs and a small percentage being temporary jobs that lasted for a few months and now are gone. Even the "saved" jobs are now being cut because the economy won't support them. And he did all of this by borrowing against the future which is projected to reduce future GDP growth by 1/3rd which will result in millions of jobs not being created in the future.

The government can't "buy" prosperity by borrowing and spending just like the individual cannot create prosperity by spending money they don't have.

There it goes again-the usual GOP talking points about the "misconception" of us not having any money to spend-true we don't have as much money to spend as we could have(if Bush's tax cuts weren't engineered toward the wealthy not paying any or very little or deferring them for years).
The stimulus helped, but it wasn't big enough-(and again-why-parlimentary procedure--THE GOP wouldn't approve of the total amount needed)
And I just wish Bush would not have borrowed against the future or brought to an end thousands of lives needlessly---
I can't remind people enough-that our fall in 2007 did not need to happen-we did not need to go to 2 wars--
And one would think that if even a few million jobs OBAMA helped create or saved would be a building block for future gains, but some are so eager to blast him/blame him or not give him credit for anything, because of their party affiliation/racism/or whatever.

Congress uses spending bills to halt closing of Guantanamo Bay prison
By Walter Alarkon - 10/04/09 02:42 PM ET
Lawmakers are using their authority to direct federal spending to prevent the Obama administration from closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

In their race to complete a dozen appropriations bills for the fiscal year that began this week, members of both chambers are including policy language aimed at halting the administration’s decision to transfer prisoners from the Cuban facility to prisons in their districts.

The latest example came on Thursday when the House instructed conferees negotiating with the Senate on a final version of the Homeland Security spending bill to include language prohibiting the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to U.S. soil. The bill already includes a provision prohibiting the detainees from air travel within or to the United States.

Appropriators have placed Guantanamo provisions into at least four other bills. The Senate Defense spending bill, which has yet to pass the chamber, and the House-approved version would also block the use of federal money for the transfer of detainees to the United States. The House Commerce, Justice and Science appropriations bill and the State Department spending bill would block 2010 federal funding for the closure of the prison. Those bills have been passed by the House and are awaiting Senate action.

Rep. Harold Rogers (Ky.), the GOP appropriator who called for Thursday’s House vote on Gitmo, said the restrictions are needed to prevent the entry of terror detainees to the United States. The Obama administration has pledged to close the prison, but it hasn't told lawmakers what it would do with the detainees. Rogers and Republicans have used the uncertainty to suggest that the detainees could end up endangering Americans in their own communities.

"Where will they go?" Rogers said in a floor speech. "Europe, Fiji, maybe somewhere closer. Maybe in Michigan, maybe in Kansas, maybe somewhere else in the U.S. Who knows."

House Democratic leadership opposed Rogers's motion, but 88 Democrats ended up voting for it along with all but sevn GOP members. The motion was approved, 258-163.

Included in the motion was another instruction: to block the release of detainee photos.

Prior to the vote, House Appropriations Chairman David Obey (D-Wis.) signaled that some language restricting the White House's push to close Guantanamo will make it into the spending bills to be signed by President Barack Obama.

"What will emerge from conference, I suspect, will be language that any reasonable person will be able to say is a good-faith, effective process by which we can keep Americans safe and still continue to stand for the due principles that we have always stood for," Obey said on the House floor Thursday before voting against Rogers’s motion.

Congress first moved to restrict the White House's moves on Guantanamo in June, when it passed a war-spending bill that forbade federal money to shut Guantanamo down.

Obey, who opposed another appropriations restriction on Guantanamo policy, called Congress "an unjointed turkey" for criticizing Obama while failing to come up with its own plan for the prison, where hundreds have been held without being charged.

Obey said that the American court system could handle the detainees, just as it has handled serial killers and other terrorists.

“Has this country, this country that has even tried the worst criminals in the history of the world at Nuremberg, has this country experienced such a pitiful decline of modern thoughtful political leadership that we now have no capacity except to say lock them up forever, no questions asked, and no due process provided under any circumstances?" Obey said.
So many GOPBAGGERS use GITMO not being closed as a failure of OBAMA-either they do not understand parlimentary procedure or have not been paying attention---The truth is out there:)

It was the Senate and Congress that allowed Fast Track negotiations to take place with NAFTA. That took away most Congressional imput into NAFTA.

    May 24, 1991

The American Senate endorses the extension of fast track authority in order to facilitate the negotiation of free trade with Mexico.

    March 17 and 18, 1993

Start of tripartite discussions in Washington aimed at reaching subsidiary agreements covering labor and the environment.

On page 6, article 76, it shows that Labor and Enviromental issues were not negotiated into NAFTA.

OK,so I watched the film-actually I have seen it before-I thought it was more against the Bush"s (which affirms alot of my points I have been making)than OBAMA-I particularily liked the vampire anology--
Oh,there is no doubt we have a corrupt congress-it is pretty glarringly obvious-but how in the world can our entire country's failures be all encompassed and wrapped up on it being OBAMA'S fault-and again this video is one persons opinion and wrapping words and clips to support his claims and ideology's--did he succeed in changing my opinion about my support for OBAMA-NOT ONE LEAST BIT---did the video change my opinion about the GOP BUSH administration---NOT ONE LEAST BIT---
But if one were to think that OBAMA has a secret agenda as to turn our country into some dark evil entity-is to me just another fear mongering conspiracy theory.
I did love seeing the opening inaugural cerimony--all those people-2008 POTUS campaign was awesome-I just can't and won't believe one person can deceive the majority of the people.

I think most people on here is smart enough to know what happened to this economy isn't Obama's or Bush's fault. This was a long time coming and a lot of people were involved, over many, many years. Congress makes regulations and Congress can take a lot of blame to what's happen down through the years. Most of us are so Party oriented, we can see no farther than that. We will never admit our Party is to blame for anything. It always has to be the other's side fault. In that way, we act like a bunch of immature kids.

And a added addendum; Being a Democrat and working as the manager of my local Democratic Headquarters-I am following our POTUS' lead in going out into my community and helping my neighbors(whether it be food drives or buying coffee for the Senior citizens Center(which they no longer serve, because they can't afford it) or engaging in the Angel Tree program for x-mas(encouraging our local community in picking an angel(one child) off the tree and buying him/her a gift for x-mas(and in some cases the ONLY gift that child will receive)---I don't see any evil in that or deception ,not on my part or OBAMA'S---
On OBAMA'S foreign policies----I am not an expert on this issue and NONE of us are privy to the TOP SECRET day to day goings on of the briefings conducted behind closed doors---one can offer their opinions and theory's-but unless they are in the room-that is all it is-opinions and theory's.
The majority of the people of the United States elected OBAMA as our POTUS-he has laid out in his campaign what his ideas were-and is working toward those ideas-problem is the GOP won't work with a Democrat to implement those ideas----they ( GOP) like our country just the way it is---POWER AND GREED and STATUS QUO---I for one, think our country should be progressing up always----not stop and start-build and bust-start over every 30 years or so.

But, I keep going over the fact that our meltdown in 2007 never needed to happen-and for that I do blame Bush-many aspects and factors over the years have contributed to the eventual meltdown-yes-but despite all the top economists advice and all the indicators and whistleblowers that were ignored-seeing Enron played out-the bills either repealed or enacted over the years-all leads to my theory (anyway) that our meltdown was very carefully orchestrated.
To this day I can't stand watching Jim Cramer host of MAD MONEY-after the meltdown in 2007-he came on an interview and said" Yes,I saw the meltdown coming-but there was so much money for such easy pickings-that I had my pockets open also." Gees ,thanks for the heads up Jim-(and he still hosts this program)
What is really sad to watch right now is the GOP Presidential candidates-take Herman Cane for example-he got his 999 plan from the computer game SIM CITY for cripes sake-sexual harrassment charges and payout to the women-and he still maintains his innocence-he doesn't know squat about foreign policy-paki-paki-stan -stan--AND YET HE IS LEADING IN THE POLLS-and all the rest of the GOP candidates go downhill from there.
We have real issues to overcome in our country and to see these immature-far right fringe bo-bo's vying for any vote and GOP voters taking them seriously to take on our country's woes is just terribly terribly sad.
I am all for good ideas regardless of who is the POTUS--GOP or DEM-as long as our country moves forward and the American people are given a fair shake-If an Independant or GOP candidate can offer any better than Dem OBAMA-I would change affiliation--but so far--no other party other than Dems has shown me that( at least more leaning to) I am( as an American citizen) more important than power and money-

Sixteen months ago, Arthur C. Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University, published "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism." The surprise is that liberals are markedly less charitable than conservatives.

-- Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).
-- Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.
    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/conservatives_more_liberal_giv.html

To test what types of people give more, "20/20" went to two very different parts of the country, with contrasting populations: Sioux Falls, S.D. and San Francisco, Calif. The Salvation Army set up buckets at the busiest locations in each city -- Macy's in San Francisco and Wal-Mart in Sioux Falls. Which bucket collected more money?

Sioux Falls is rural and religious; half of the population goes to church every week. People in San Francisco make much more money, are predominantly liberal, and just 14 percent of people in San Francisco attend church every week. Liberals are said to care more about helping the poor; so did people in San Francisco give more?

It turns out that this idea that liberals give more…is a myth. Of the top 25 states where people give an above average percent of their income, 24 were red states in the last presidential election.

Why doesn't Obama help his poor brother in Africa?

    Kenyan roots: Barack Obama
The youngest of Barack Obama’s half siblings has told of his shame about living in a shack and existing on a dollar a month whilst his brother plans to become the most powerful man in the world.
With the Democratic Convention in Denver just days away, Italian Vanity Fair magazine tracked George Hussein Onyango Obama to a 6ft by 9ft wooden shed in Kenya.
The difference in the men's lifestyles could not be more dramatic. Mr Obama, 47, travels the world with an army of bodyguards, whilst his brother defends himself with his own bare hands on the rough streets of Haruma, a Nairobi shanty town.
“If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed,” George told the magazine.
"No-one knows who I am. I live here on less than a dollar a month.
    "I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist."
George, at 25 the youngest of Obama’s father’s seven children, has met his famous big brother just twice.
He was just five when Mr Obama visited Kenya for the first time in 1988 and made a special trip out to his mother Jael’s shanty home.
They met again briefly two years ago when Illinois senator Mr Obama was on a tour of East Africa. George told the magazine that he was homeless at the time.

By the last two posts I put up, it would seem that most of these richer Liberals only care to help the poor with other people's money, time and blood. Yes, I can see they are following their Potus' lead. He can't even help out a half brother living on a dollar a month.

[URL="Excuse me-but what does any of this have to do with the amount "I " PERSONALLY give or how I give-nobody asks me if I am a GOP or a Democrat when I give blood or a liberal or conservative-nobody asks me when I put money in a bucket regardless of where it's placed if I'm a GOP or a Democrat liberal or conservative-and I fail to see where the bucket is placed on any given day to give an accurate depiction of who gives more Conservative or liberal or in what state.
The "point" I was making is that the post I was responding to- the person was making OBAMA out to be deceptive, and having an evil agenda. Our POTUS asks us to work with our communities and that is" not evil or deceptive"-please read the entire post-instead of rushing to yet once again discredit OBAMA either because he is a Democrat or for whatever other reason.I am respectful that American people give back to their communities-whether they are conservative Democrats or liberal GOP'S vice versa.

So,I have to ask you---do you have or know someone who has a half brother or sister that you have only met once or twice in your life-that is not working for whatever reason-and because YOU have a job-you send or they send them money every month?
I have half brother's and sisters-I have helped them out monetarily on occasion, WHEN THEY HAVE ASKED-but by no means is it my responsibilty to support them for the rest of their lives.
Look,I don't know any of the details concerning OBAMA and his half brother-and I'm willing to bet you don't know either other than this article.
What I was responding to (if you were to READ the post)was I failed to see the evil or deception in our POTUS asking us to help our communities!!!

Nothing Bluebird, I commend you on what your doing. But just don't say your following your POTUS. He says do what I say, not what I do.

There has been several studies done that show Cons give more than Liberals. I get upset when I hear Liberals talk about how Conservatives don't care about the poor. I have given out plenty this year, not only to the poor, but to four different military organizations helping our soldiers and the humaine Society. All the while my wife and I have been supporting one of our Daughter's family of 5 who's husband hasn't had a job in three years come January. We don't have to talk about it. We just do it. Maybe we seem a little tough and uncaring at times, but we think a lot of times, people bring on their own problems with bad decisions and expect others to always bail them out. But we're usually there to do our part and more when we have to.

Why should he have to ask? Obama saw how he was living and knew how much he made. How much of a problem is it to give the guy ten, twenty or a hunderd dollars once in awhile. He is family. Hell we give that much to strangers without them asking. Don't make excuses for him.

George Obama was arrested in Kenya on a charge for possession of marijuana, according to police.
George Obama, the half-brother of U.S. President Barack Obama, has been arrested by Kenyan police on a charge of possession of marijuana, police said Saturday.

Inspector Augustine Mutembei, the officer in charge, said Obama was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, known in Kenya as Bhang, and resisting arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Mutembei said.

He is being held at Huruma police post in the capital of Nairobi.

Speaking from behind bars, Obama denied the allegations.

"They took me from my home," he said, "I don't know why they are charging me."

George Obama and the president barely know each other, though they have met. George Obama was one of the president's few close relatives who did not go to the inauguration in Washington last week.

In his memoir, "Dreams from My Father," Barack Obama describes meeting George as a "painful affair." Barack Obama's trip to Kenya meant meeting family he had never known.

CNN tracked down George Obama in August and found him at a small house in Huruma, a Nairobi slum, where he lives with his mother's extended family. His birth certificate shows that he is Barack Obama's half-brother.

The two men share a Kenyan father. In the memoir, Barack Obama struggles to reconcile with his father after he left him and his mother when he was just a child.

Barack Obama Sr. died in a car accident when George was just 6 months old. Like his half-brother, George hardly knew his father.

George was his father's last child and had not been aware of his famous half-brother growing up.

Unlike his grandmother in Kogelo, in western Kenya, George Obama had received little attention from the media until reports about him surfaced in August.

The reports sprung from an Italian Vanity Fair article saying George Obama lived in a shack and was "earning less than a dollar a day." Those reports left George Obama angry.

"I was brought up well. I live well even now," he said. "The magazines, they have exaggerated everything.

"I think I kind of like it here. There are some challenges, but maybe it is just like where you come from, there are the same challenges," Obama said.

Obama, who is in his mid-20s, said at the time that he was learning to become a mechanic and was active in youth groups in Huruma. He said he tried to help the community as much as he can.

So,just out of curiosity I went to do some research on OBAMA'S half brother-amazing what you can find when you do research-the article you mentioned was 2008-this is a 2009 article--seems his brother is better off than the 2008 article says-well except him getting arrested for pot-JUST SAYING:)
