    DRIVING AWAY A QUEER DISEASE

In Machilipatanam, the son of retired I.T.O., Sri Subba Rao was suffering from the nauseating disease of smelling his own sweat. No amount of performing japa & pooja or consulting doctors could not help his problem cured. They explained Swamy that they approached many saints and avadhootas. All of them refused to cure the disease. Now we have to come to you thinking, You are DATTA and hence please cure my son’s disease. Swamy melted down and gave him vibhooti. As soon as the vibhooti was applied, the disease disappeared. The father and others came and prayed Swamy.

    SAVING FROM HEART ATTACK

Kameswaramma was Ajay’s mother-in-law. She was suffering from heart compliant. It appeared that she might die at any time. With tears in eyes Ajay’s wife prayed Swamy. Swamy advised her that all living beings should die one day or the other and also told her not to have so much attachment with her mother. But Lakshmi was not happy. “As this is your first desire, I will grant it” said Swamy. The heart trouble vanished and she became all right. The doctors, who advised her earlier to be operated, opined that there was no disease at all. If not miracle, what is this?

I find it very interesting that believers find it much more profound that miracles exist from an external source....
Personally, I find it much more profound that the mind itself is capable of creating an existence that is collectively miraculous were there is no need to have a single miracle performed...... Hence, we become the embodiment within the miracle of life itself.

No, but there is a probability that they will get better from cancer, just not magically. You believe it is magic, I do NOT. Simple really.

    REDUCING HEADACHE

Once Swamy took on himself the unbearable headache of Vasumathy to His foot. One spark went away from her head and the headache disappeared. The entire night, Swamy suffered foot-ache.

Sitamma was suffering from headache since long. She came to our house to see Swamy. He was asleep. She saw golden rings coming from above and entered Swamy’s head. Swamy smiled. Her headache vanished. Swamy suffered from severe headache for three days afterwards. This is really Swamy’s blessing.

I think I must also have a blessing, in dealing with and enduring the absurdity in this entire thread, I've taken on quite the headache.

Coming to a thread near you to perform many more miracles! :juggle:

Well, your opinion is noted, and perhaps discussion worthy, but understand, the basis of your discussion is why your opinion is right and everyone else's is wrong.

When YOU pray and eth miracles happens to someone else? That would be rather hard to say that the person, in one hell of a coicidence, just healed themselves miraculously.

And another atheist gets a head ache avoiding the subject. I guess all the excuses are troubling.

SO simple that when it does happen ... well, its why intellligent people know its a miracle.

Your belief trumps no one - and when your beliefs start conflicting with the reality you are seeing?

In my world, miracles exist. In yours? Nothing but excuses.

Your claim that it is a miracle is called an explanation of an event. It is an explanation which claims that a woman has magical powers and used her magical powers to heal people. My explanation for the same event, is that people get misdiagnosed and naturally heal from ailments all the time!! People have cancer that disappears, it isn't that common, but it DEFINITELY happens. Often times, when those people haven't prayed or been prayed for at all. Now again, lets say 10,000 people went to this woman for healing, and 10 got better. Only a moron would assume that this was because the woman was actually capable of miracles. Correlation does NOT equal causation, and when the correlation is as weak as this, it is pretty undeniable that it is nonsense.

PS. I was wrong. It says here

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathryn_Kuhlman

That she was providing healing for thousands of people sometimes in a day. The idea that when you have a sample size that large, none of them will ever get better, is idiotic beyond imagination. It is a mathematical certainty that many of them WILL get better. The idea that you would attribute that to this woman's magical powers is nonsensical beyond my ability to comprehend!!

Miracles require actual work through one's willingness to take responsibility for their well being and the well being of every life and every mind..... Bravo to God if 'he' exists for making it so, otherwise we might as well be surrounded by a bunch of thumbsuckers.

The healing in such situations comes from the sick person believing themselves well, it can help and make a huge difference when battling an illness.

We have more power over ourselves and bodies then we know. Look at false pregnancies, and men being able to make themselves lactate.

That is by definition not a miracles is it? A miracle is something that occures with an unknown source. There are many, many people who obviously want to get better, and simply telling them, "Buck up mate! And a miracles will happen!"

And the entire point of thsi thread is how people like you will go to great lengths to avoid the reality that miracles happen. Even when documented and proven to have occured? Well, that's a pretty crappy faith that keeps you from acknowledging reality.

Do we identify the lifestyle and the choices made by the individual that lead to the disconnect from their healthy form, or simply throw our hands in the air and say "Well, we're gonna need a miracle now!"

Many times this is a condition that is perpetuated within the lifestyles of our genetic coding and it's predisposition having come from parent, it is unfortunate but still remains poignant to the fact that something has to give.... We need to break free of these chains through the advancement of the body and mind which ensures we don't pass on this mental garbage to our offspring.

If you have terminal cancer that is non-responsive to treatment - yeah, if you are going to live you need a miracle. Pretty salient point, I wonder why atheists have such a hard time acknowledging it?

Miracles by your definition Neutral, unequivocally and without question do not exist......
We are the miracle and the very source for creating miraculous events!

What is the actual source of that cancer, and has it been addressed?
Is it too little too late?
A difficult lesson to learn, there is a distinct problem that should have been addressed long before it came to such a point!
How do we choose to respond to such a fact? How does humanity respond?

Now, if we are simply genetically predisposed where there is no escape and then require nothing short of a miracle in order to survive; what does this say about a God that would create life in such a way?

And that is teh point, I repeatedly provided documentation that they do indeed exist.

    You avoid them.

Thus the thesis statement of this thread is again proven - atheists will not acknoweldge them, even when they are spoon fed to them.

And no brother, I have seen a lot of people die, yet my wife's grandfather died twice - from stroke - pronounced dead by two separate qualified doctors, who told the familiy he had passed, and when the family visited him to say goodbye - viola, there he was alive an well and with no apparent ill effects. Twice.

Now, how many people in battle do you think I have seen horrifically injured and killed? How many of them just ... bounce back? We humans control many things, but the crossing beyond of the veil is not one of them.

All you have done is replace God with you. And it just might be one reason why so many theologians consider atheism to be self worship. And understand, we've known since ancient mythology that there are definitive dangers on that route: its called narcassism.

When doctors fail ... that is that. When something happen outside the norms of treatment from medical professionals who call it miraculous?

Well, I am sure your random speculative excuses are better.

Feel free to actually address the source provided at any time. Otherwise, all you are doing is an exercise in creative excuse.

Christians also love the world, the flesh, and themselves. They also believe based on blind faith because that's all they can believe in since God is behind door number 1 but never reveals Himself.

If Atheists knew "the truth", as you say, then they certainly wouldn't reject that truth. That's foolish since truth is what you strive for.

Atheists want evidence. Verifiable evidence. Not some far flung story were something happened and the only possible explanation is that your particular god was responsible for it.

It is not that difficult to grasp, and no, there is not some vast silly conspiracy to deny miracles.

Is it doctors that are failing? Or is it our own inability to see that our bodies and minds are revolting against us because of absurd abuse, misuse and underuse?

I have already discussed that belief has a profound effect on the chemical makeup of the body, so does love, happiness and laughter!!!!!!!!!

Imagine an expression of humanity where the mind is in full motion every waking moment and the body is nourished through a responsible and mindful approach?
Imagine an environment that is expanding exponentially with vegetal mass, moisture and oxygen enrichment?
Imagine a magnificent expression of the mind, an intricate garden of beauty as far as the eye can see?
Imagine entering such an expression and realizing that every desire of the mind is instantly fulfilled?

This is a reality that we can have tomorrow, this is who we are meant to become.... Who we are now, riddled with disease and mental afflictions is a reflection of every moment we deny ourselves of our own magnificence!

There has never been a case where faith or prayer has healed cancer. Keeping in good spirit can help people but it can not cure them. You also do not need to believe in a god for it to help, and atheist keeping a positive attitude can experience the same results.

    It's not worth it.

    Speak for yourself.

You say this with such confidence. You're wrong though. Rejecting yourself takes a lot...
