Does Trump understand he will lose this media fight?

Just look at the numbers, there are polls all over the web. Distrust in the media is rampant.

 

The media never cut Republicans any slack when things go wrong or when things go good or things go neutral. This is old news. This is what we as Republicans and conservatives have to face. We might as well fight back. We will fight back.

 

So, the media has been around forever & is not going anywhere-And yes, the media will expose him--
My fear is that some trump crazy supporter will bring a gun & start shooting members of the media-trump is playing a dangerous game here & he will lose--

Trump is, literally, too clueless and stupid to realize that he will LOSE.

The opinions of a bunch of RW trolls on social media won't help him in the long run.

 

Aren't we in the long-run already, since, he is already President now.

At want point do we realize that none of our predictions have not panned out.

 

You have too narrow a view of what constitutes "the media."

Here's a clue. Do you know that less than 5% of people who voted EVER watch CNN, FOX or MSNBC? Less than 5%.

Radio is SOLIDLY in Trump's camp. I think it fair to say the Internet leans his way. He is not trying to "defeat" those particular five corporate public relations departments (they are NOT "THE" media), he is trying to cause people to not believe them.

On that he solidly is winning. While people like to cite polls that less than 50% of people like Trump (ignoring the majority clearly agree with his policies), what those media outlets will NOT tell you is:

1. Most people don't even listen to them anymore.
2. And far more people believe Trump than believe them. Less than 1/3rd of Americans believe the "media."

More revealing is that 90% of Republicans do not believe the media.Increasingly, CNN, MSNBC, the NYT etc are preaching only to the further and further leftwing. And Trump has NO reason to give a damn what they think.It is only white Trump hating Democrats who listen to them anymore.

Yep. Pundits, experts, pollsters, celebrities, the NYT, CNN and Hillary Clinton all agree that Trump has 1% chance of winning this fight. The 538 gives him 3% chance

 

The media's favorability rating has been dropping like a rock since Trump took them to task, Trump's taking the fight to them reduced all those full of it pundits and talking heads to bleating and whining non-stop that they were still important and relevant and good for America and should not be hated, despised and ignored because they had families to feed How is that for losing?

It's interesting to read an admission that the left learns tactics from the [ignorant, uneducated, Christian, deplorable.....] right. Encouraging as it may be, it won't work, the expectations are different, what works for the right will never work for the left and vice versa.

 

Of course not everybody on the right is as you describe, but they do rely upon them. You're probably right on the other part. And it's also possible to be skilled in one way, such as how to entertain and manipulate people, but totally ignorant in another, such as what policies actually work.

 

Trump has been trying to bully the media since the day he announced. He uses the media as a prop in his noise campaign.

No, it won't work in the long run. Media is not going to go away.

He doesn't really want it to. He craves the attention and is only happy when everyone is talking about him. He works hard to keep it about him. it shows in his priorities.

He didn't have time to sit in the Situation Room during a covert operation and know what's going on. But he did have time to Tweet about Meryl Streep, his daughter's clothing line etc.

IF you want to make Trump mad and even more frustrated than he is now, STOP talking about him.

Trump is losing the media war. Already!!

 

They weren't ever going to cut him any slack in the first place. He either fights them every step of the way or he will be pounded into submission. It's a lesson Republicans should have learned 20 years ago. The media will dump on you at every opportunity if you don't stand up for your self and your voters you will be pounded into oblivion and your voters along with you.You cannot go along to get along with the MSM it's like throwing chum at sharks and expecting the sharks to not bite whatever is in the water.
