And just like little toddlers, the left just thinks money always comes from someone else that has a money tree growing in their back yard ready to be harvested at a moments notice.

Exactly. 1979 3-4k bought a new vehicle off the lot. With minimum wage at $7, the cheapest new cars are 15k. And I guarantee the 3-4k car was wayyyyy better.

Maybe because unions have forced companies to raise the pay, thus raising the price of cars. And cause of the continued rasing of wages, the price for living has gone up too.

What do you mean? We have american companies going to those countries.

To compete the government should have import tariffs. We compete everyday with all countries that sell goods here. We can not compete on the world market paying the inflated wages unions demand

Minimum wage is one of the main things keeping america from falling into China`s deplorable to of workers rights...

Know what happens if you go on strike over there? You and everyone participating gets a one way ticket to bulletville and replaced within a week.

yes, when I had no skills.

apparently you have a reading problem. They should acquire skills and reach higher. You are not meant to "live" on entry level jobs. No human is responsible to create a job, just so you can live. Why don't you create a job and pay for him to live ?

snicker snicker,.... lemme guess,.... you are a college puke with a chip on your shoulder. The kids that outscore you in class probably haven't earned their grades either.

tsk tsk tsk, somebody thinks this is an episode of Springer.
Are you doing that little head cocking thing when you say that ?

It takes capital to create wealth..

Nope. They did (assuming they didn't cheat in any way..although I have heard of people paying other students under the table to cheat). But you always make it out like no one except business owners (which is what I'm guessing you are) deserve anything.

Yeah, we don't deserve anything. Not any kind of laborer. As long as you perpetuate that idea, you can still act like you're some kind of (*)(*)(*)(*)ing victim that labor laws even exist.

Do you think there aren't any people who make a lot less than you who are more intelligent than you and could do a better job at what you do, than you?

Hey genius, if you don't want to be stuck making pizzas for $7.25 an hour, goto school, make yourself worth more than minimum wage. It's really not that hard to figure out.:bored:

LOL. Are you implying if private unions were banned tomorrow, that the price of goods would go down? Obviously wages would go down, everything would continue to rise, as wages have zero to do with the devaluation of the dollar. And for the record, it is the lack of protectionism that destroyed the American auto market, not unions. Foreign companies pay less taxes to sell here than domestics, while we still have to pay tariffs to import our vehicles any place else. Traitors at the helm has hurt America more than unions could ever have dreamed of. Matter of fact, free trade has literally driven a stake through the heart of unions, proving how little pull they actually have in D.C. Contrary to popular belief.

Or, better yet, business will hire workers illegally who are willing to work for less than minimum wage. Can anybody name a few states where that might be happening? :omg:

Based on this post, I'd recommend you study up on some basic economics. The labor market it no different than any other market -- consumers set the prices in almost every case, unless there is artificial intervention as is the case with wages. For example.

No, he wants the "rich bosses" to drive around in rustbuckets like him. It's just not fair that they sacrificed, got advanced degrees, and risked capital and now get to drive around in Bentleys and fly around in their own airplanes.

Payroll is the single most controllable expense in any business. Once again, econ 101.

Oh yeah, great idea. The UAW and Teamsters add at least 30% to the cost of every automobile produced in this country in unionized factories. And look at the state of the Big 3. Those idiots literally priced themselves right out their own jobs. People making $150,000 for driving a forklift at GM? Good lord people with MBAs don't even make that much money.

the reason why chinese laborers cant afford big screen TV's is because their government keeps the yuan artificially low which is foolish...it punishes the workers of their own country and rewards american consumers.......I wonder how americans would feel about working for a bowl of rice so that chinese consumers can afford their product...funny how different it looks when the shoe is on the other foot!

But the shoe ISN'T on the other foot. So stop trying to push your morals into my economic decisions.

All that matters is the price/quality ratio and it doesn't matter if some dirty faced starving kid in the 3rd world made it or not.

That's just your frothing at the mouth anti-Americanism talking and not any objective conclusion by anyone other than you.
