Not all American's are as you say. Mainly people seem in my experience to be like that if a) they are Christian Zionists and then they are often more extremist than super pro Israelis and that has always been the case - they have a very loud voice in the US. Apart from that it seems to be misinformation. Europe has historically got a lot better information than the US has - also I have heard that not to be a supporter of everything Israel does right or wrong in the US since about the 50's makes you an antisemite.....

However, this is all changing and people are becoming informed. This is particularly true in University campuses. Hence we have seen a big rise in support for BDS there. This is scaring the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of Israel who has got her Hasbaras going wild on the campuses and even was threatening those who support BDS that they will make sure they cannot get a job after.

Traditionally we here in the UK have had a lot more information up until about ten years ago from the BBC when suddenly it stopped being honest and people were not allowed to report things as they saw it. This was around the time that Britain changed it's mind about wanting a two state solution. Labour had told us it was going to be pressing the US to press Israel to make this happen. The EU already had an MI6 with great expertise in conflict resolution working with Hamas. He believed that they were up to a peaceful resolution on 67 lines, had no intention of pushing Jews into the sea despite their antisemetic charter, born I think as a response to the 1977 likud charter

So prior to 9/11 we in the UK were being told by the Labour Party that when they got into Government they would be working to make sure Israel stopped doing what we kept seeing them do on our tv screens and went by OSLO. The EU was in complete agreement with this.

After 9/11 and Blair made us your poodle. Come around 2005, Blair decided we were no longer going to work on conflict resolution. Instead we were going to be like the US. We were going to declare Hamas a terrorist organisation and instead of working on resolving things and a two state solution we were going to let Israel build more jails to put political prisoners in, allow her to murder, sorry assassinate whoever she wanted and let her deal with the thing purely in a military way - which of course she would always win. We were going to pretend that Hamas were Al Qaeda when we knew perfectly well they were not. Blair managed to get first the Germans and then the EU onside and we all let down the Palestinians and world peace for possibly ever as we appear to be getting nearer the Armageddon the Christian Zionists want each year.
