    Dixon, you'll have to face facts. Both the Koran and the Bible were written and rewritten by fallible humans with private agendas. That's why the "beloved disciple" of Jesus' changed from his beloved Mary Magdalene to the oddly-anonymous "John"... for political reasons. In that day and age women could not assume positions of power in any matter large or small over men. So a massive change had to be penned in. Nevermind that doing so smashed the importance of the gender of Jesus' favorite disciple, a potential example to future women...

    Likewise, the Koran took some campaign Muhammad found himself in the middle of, while espousing more benign human mandates, and decided after he was gone to make war a holy mandate. A very important change from the original divine message. Of course war is sometimes called for. But not as a evangelical way of life! No way Muhammad himself ever said that.
