The teacher is probably trying to protect the honor of progressives, because he knows they are going to act like violent wing nuts so he doesn't want the kids to be turned off from progressivism.

Instead if anything happens he will just lie and blame trump.

For the past several elections, the teacher did show the inauguration to his students. But, because Hillary lost and Trump won, he's decided to go political on his kids.
If he hadn't shown previous inaugurations, it wouldn't be an issue. But that isn't the case. He's pouting and has decided to take it out on his students.
In the political scheme of things it doesn't matter. Trump is still President. But what it does do is prove the public education system in littered with closet radicals willing to abuse anyone for their "cause".

Again, if it isn't part of the curriculum, then no harm, no foul, irrelevant nonsense. The only reason people are posting this garbage is in some way validation seeking for supporting Donald Trump for president, as if the negative feelings associated with his election somehow cognitively validate your own positive feelings and reinforce them.

Go ahead and be a vampire all you like, the reality is, the teacher is under absolutely no requirement to show it, and never was. Just because said teacher showed Obama's doesn't mean he has to show Trump's, and if it isn't required learning, then shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up about it. This debate is pointless.

 

I'm not seeing what the big fuss is about either. Was the teacher's decision politically motivated? Probably. Does it really matter? No.

What might distinguish this apart from other politically biased educators is that nothing really overt has happened here.

I was never shown the Inauguration in school when I was a kid. How about you? Is there some mandate or job requirement that the teacher is in violation of by not showing the Inauguration? What percentage of kids watched the inauguration at school? If the historical norm is that it is generally not shown in schools, then what does it matter? Objectively what harm was caused to the children in that or any class where the Inauguration was not shown?
