I can't agree with you more. Today's schools are warehouses for children and not places of learning. The children that learn are those children where the parents are behind the pupil/students showing interest and participation in the teaching and learning. I see it in my own family and my grandchildren.

You are over thinking this. The two correlate. Why they correlate isn't that important. The cohort of public school teachers comprise the bottom quintile of college graduates in SAT scores and >>> intelligence.

The first thing to go in education was control and discipline without the two children cannot be taught. Then you have Progressives protecting the pedophiles in our schools.
