Really? My bad then... Lithuanianism confuses me from time to time but don't matter anyway because the ones who dared to question my allegiance were here...

You're probably right, but I think the cruelty of the Western Ukrainians is psychological. Like the Croatians, I think it has to do with them being under the Austrian/Hungarian Empire.

Both of them were looked down on for being Slavs and Orthodox, and wanted to be accepted as equals by giving up their faith and adopting Western standards. Their Orthodox brethren who were not under the Austrians and didn't give a damn about assimilating, were an embarrassment to them, so they hated them.

Anyway we had a lot of this in the US with each new immigrant group, and those who suffered the most, were the ones who became the most cruel towards others.

This begs the question, what kind of weapons? Are they the kind that could have damaged the bridge, since Ukraine has threatened to do so many times? If so, then there are only two explanations, one is that they were there to actually do damage to the bridge, and/or they planned on being caught, and had them as a provocation.

Anyway I read that they were in the Azov Sea for quite a few hours roaming around, and refusing to answer the Russians. I also read that contrary to what the Ukrainians are saying, only two sailors were slightly injured.

Here's something from the Professor of political science at Moscow State University, Andrei Manoylo. He said the call to the US to “put a brake” on the Ukrainians was right. The provocation by the Ukrainian SBU in the Kerch Strait was planned and coordinated with Washington.

He believes there will be other actions since the Americans announced 2 days ago that they are sending their rapid deployment forces to the region. He thinks that the next time they try to break through, that Americans will be among the crew.

According to Moon of Alabama, Ukraine urged by the US want to establish a military harbor in the Azov Sea, with some U.S. hawks even wanting NATO ships to enter. U.S. frigates have a draft of 10+ meters, so what are they talking about.

Here's the depth chart of the Azov Sea. I don't see how American warships can get into the Sea unless they deepen the passageway.

Depth chart Sea of Sea of Azov

Dark blue - less than 5 meters
Light blue - less than 10 meters
White - less than 13.5 meters

The only U.S. warships that can be classified as "frigates" are the six ships of the Freedom class.

They have a draft of 3.9 meters.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom-class_littoral_combat_ship

The seven ships of the Independence class have drafts of 4.2 meters.

So there's 13 U.S. warships that can enter the sea easily enough.

Oh come on now, the CIA is the only girl scout troop, otherwise Bush wouldn't have been the head?:roflol:

Anyway Vladimir Putin's job was to look over the information that was gathered by the KGB. He never worked in the field, and he was never the head of it. Later on he became the head of the FSB, and during the Yeltsin years, the most corrupt members of Intelligence left for greener and more corrupt paths. Putin said that left only the most dedicated men. Anyway according to those who knew him, it was considered patriotic to work for the KGB.

The way I see it, if it wasn't for his Russian Intelligence support system, he would have become like us, and been dependent on the 'oligarchs' to maintain his office. You can see what a mess they made out of our own country.

It is sad, but the logical result of generations worth of heavy propaganda. When everything the American people believe is false, we will know the success of our misinformation efforts.

First of all, Sea of Azov is indeed the internal waters of two countries - Russia and Ukraine. And ships of both countries are free to sail in this sea. But the Kerch strait has its naval administration which provides operational control over the strait and which is responsible for safety of navigation in this strait. There is quite big traffic in this strait. You can watch this map, for example:
You can see that a lot of ships pass the strait simaltaneously. Some ships have to wait their turn to pass.
So, there are some rules for all ships to pass the Kerch strait. Thus, they have to make a request to strait administration in advance - as far as I know it's 48 hours before the passage. Similar rules are in Turk straits - to pass Bosporus you have to notify the Istanbul naval administration 72 hours before. The Montreux Convention says ships have to make such notification 8 days before. So, every nation (Black Sea nations too) has a freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, but to pass the Turkish straits they have to follow the rules of Turkish administration. The same as in the Kerch strait.
To pass the strait you have to notify in advance, receive a permission and then go. It's normal.
Ukrainian sailors knew very well these rules. In September 23 two Ukrainian military ships passed under the Kerch Strait Bridge:

Why now Ukrainian warship ignored the rules which they followed just a couple of months ago? Moreover, even when they received radio and voice warnings to stop, they kept their attempts to penetrate into the Kerch strait, they tried to avoid Russian border guard ships and made dangerous maneuvres near merchant ships. Moreover, after they failed to pass in the morning on November 25, they made a second attempt in the evening, after that Russian border guard opened fire and made them to stop and surrender.

Actually, such stupid behavior resembles an attempt to break an open door. Stupid behavior, stupid provocation.
Now Ukrainian alco-president declared state of war in several regions of Ukraine. But why now? They are wining that Russia attacks them for the last four years, but they declared state of war now? This is too complicated question for western public with stupid, atrophied brains. But some people may see the reason in coming presidential election in Ukraine. Poroshenko has a very low rate, no chance to win - but state of war would allow hip to suspend the election - as long time as he would want.

Maybe his plan was successful, maybe partly successful. Media say Poroshenko had a phone talk with Germany's Merkel and she demanded him to hold the election on time. That's why Poroshenko declared state of war not in the entire Ukraine but only in some regions.

You do not know much about American history or politics do you? George H.W. Bush was only appointed to be head of the CIA (briefly by the way) because he had an impeccable reputation that was needed after the revelations during the Watergate era about CIA (mis)conduct in the previous years.

    What's WRONG ?
    THE US HAS BECOME
    [IMG]

Who are the Oligarchs ? - they are the wolves - Because they are not
......elected, They keep a low profile & remain as anonymous as possible

Your Government - for the most part - Executive, Judaical, Congress
& Senate, are the $bought & paid for $tore Front - through which they
........................................conduct their Malignant & Parasitic business

Presently you are their host & it is their stated intent, to force the rest of the world to join you in that position
They say absolute power corrupts absolutely and these people are the most powerful in the world
They are however, as yet - NOT monolithic & have some internal disagreement

You will find many of their members among:

Bilderbergs - Council on Foreign Relations -Trilateral Commission

Is there an internationally recognized treaty signed by all parties regulating passes through the Kerch -after it was stolen by the Tsarists- as it is in Dardanelles or in Bosphorus?
    No.
    Jihadi Putinists must be banned.

The Ukrainians should drop Russia's nice new bridge...or perhaps a tragic 'accident' toward the same result

That's what we bought them for BUT, my understanding is that they do not work very well. They can show the flag and not much else
