There's no real point in writing meaningless guidelines. They meant for people to stand. I read they are now thinking about changing the language to state it's mandatory...which is a good move IMO.

well it is their league. while i dont agree with the kneeling, they do have that right, i.e., high school students do not have to stand for the pledge of allegience.

Perhaps another reason that it's popularity is going down is because it is so boring. All that seems to happen is one man getting a ball then throwing it which takes about 5-10 seconds then there is about 5 minutes of chatting! Then "we go to the adverts". It's bad enough watching a 40 minutes highlights, must be torture watching a live match for 4 hours

Baseball is just as dull. Watched most of one game few years ago and no one hit the ball for several innings.

Basketball! Almost as bad. one side has ball and scores, other side then has ball and scores - rinse and repeat until the whistle goes. BTW being 7 foot tall also helps.

At least we admit that cricket is often boring. But at least you can admire the amount of concentration required to play the game.

Football (or soccer as you call it) can be boring but at least a match only lasts for hour and a half with only one natural break. Soccer is the number one and best sport to play and watch

Do they have a right to protest when they're representing their employer? I don't know about that. if they do, doesn't the employer also have the right to fire or bench them if they choose in response?

Remember, the right to expression and free speech is about retaliation from Government. it doesn't guarantee you the right to express yourself everywhere any anywhere without anyone reacting to a poor message.

And that changes who started it how? And that changes the ratings were already going down after it was first done by that racist loser last year how? Oh that's right, it doesn't.

Only a deluded racist person would excuse it.

So he didn't serve. Got it.

I see you ran away from draft dodging Slick Willy. At least Trump has a medical excuse you can't disprove.

The NFL seems to afraid of the media mob backlash if they don't cater to the whims of cop-hating black racists.

They're going down quicker. Again, take Trump out of the equation and they don't slip as fast.

Kneeling for the anthem = racism.

That doesn't make any logical sense, but I'd be stupid to think Trump supporters are capable of doing anything that makes sense.

If you're referring to the kneeling, it absolutely is in part racism.

    It really does.

All these owners are afraid of putting their troops in line. You cant really blame them when you see some of the rap sheets these guys have lol.
Yes it can be anything, but unless I'm mistaken the only thing you are guaranteed protection from is the Government when exercising that speech. I don't believe it covers you in the workplace. People have been fired for tarnishing their employers brand before...so I just don't think that these people do have any real "right" to be doing this on the field.

Off the field? of course..but it still may carry consequences from those you offend.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

I didn't break it for Trump, I broke it because the NFL started offending me.

Surslee? He beat all of his competition almost from day one. First time I saw "Donald Trump announces run for presidency" I shrugged and thought to myself, "riiiight, that won't last a week." Then he started talking about needing to fix all the things I was sick of and more and more people were attracted to his message. I'm sure it's a hard pill to swallow after the failed left administration from 8 years prior and you can't see the man succeed, but most Trump supporters supported Trump after he started talking about PC BS. Definitely not a lowest common denominator Republican, those types can't attract democrats.

So they can get away with their fake outrage and racism longer. Good to know you support that.

The reasons for kneeling have been given. All based on racism that isn't supported by factual evidence making the charge itself a racist one.

You really should educate yourself on the issue. The entire arguement is that America is racist towards black people and they cite police as the reason. Yet the stats do not back up their charge making their claims of racism based on their own anti white racism.

    Try thinking first then posting.

Or are you going to claim "hands up don't shoot" happened too? :)

I remember people ridiculing his announcement, showing the pic of him on the Elevator and saying how he paid the 5-6 people holding signs lol.

Calling out America's many imperfections and harsh realities about poor treatment of minorities = racism.

I can see how people like you would think that's racism.
