That doesn't make it non binary. Non binary would be not male or female or between, but something else entirely.

    Binary means 2 options.
If one is a mix of the 2 options, then that can be considered a 3rd option.

VERY few people would touch a trans. It's extremely rare, actually.

And yes, it is narcissism. It's narcissism which drives them to acting on their impulses in the first place. I've know many trans people ... known variously in the past as Cross dressers, trannies, butch dykes, etc etc. They were, to a man/woman, outrageous narcissists, and exclusively highly dysfunctional/damaged people.

What if you're non-binary and somebody sneaks an extra digit in when you're not looking? It boggles the mind.

I didn't say anything about their rights. I merely stated a fact which few trans people seem to consider before taking the leap.

There isn't a mix between the two options.

They aren't common, and it isn't a mix between the two.

No one said they were common. But they exist and are real. And it is a mix between the 2.

    Humans[edit]
    Main article: Intersex
Intersex describes a wide variety of combinations of what are considered male and female biology. Aside from having an ambiguous-looking external genitalia, true intersex in humans differs from pseudohermaphroditism in that the person's karyotype has both XX and XY chromosome pairs (46XX/46XY, 46XX/47XXY or 45X/XY mosaic). Some people who are intersex have both testicular and ovarian tissue. One possible pathophysiologic explanation of this rare phenomenon is a parthenogenetic division of a haploid ovum into two haploid ova. Upon fertilization of the two ova by two sperm cells (one carrying an X and the other carrying a Y chromosome), the two fertilized ova are then fused together resulting in a person having dual genitalial, gonadal (ovotestes) and genetic sex.

Another common cause of being intersex is the crossing over of the SRY from the Y chromosome to the X chromosome during meiosis. The SRY is then activated in only certain areas, causing development of testes in some areas by beginning a series of events starting with the upregulation of SOX9, and in other areas not being active (causing the growth of ovarian tissues). Thus, testicular and ovarian tissues will both be present in the same individual.[22]

So what? They aren't a third sex. There is no third sex. There are only two. The one that produces the sperm and the one that produces the egg. There is nothing else.

Hermaphrodites aren't a third sex because they aren't necessary to the procreation function.

Never said they were a 3rd sex. But a mix of the 2 sexes. Meaning there is more options than all male and all female.

No there isn't. Male and female are the only options. All you need to procreate is a male and a female. Nothing else.

Lol. Good grief. I have nothing to say. What is there to discuss really? Some people are totally messed up.

I think the fact that these people dwell on this kind of thing (preoccupied with self and not much else) is a good indication that this is a mental illness.

They're not new, they have existed since humanity. Intersexuality is not correlated with nonbinary genders. As for your questions.
    1. Not on the binary or maybe even on the binary. Some people say they're liberals, some say conservatives, and I'm an anarchist. Not on the liberal-conservative binary, but still valid.
    2. That is a fun question on the basics of senses. Long story short, yes unless you want to bite the skeptic bullet.
    3. Yes.
    4. How many numbers are between 0-1?

Sorry, gender by definition is binary.

There are no whole numbers between 1 and 0.

    - - - Updated - - -

That's what the two sexes are for and how they are defined.

Kranes56 never said anything about whole numbers. So how about answering his/her question.

That is not what the 2 sexes are for. If so, then there'd be no gays, no infertile, etc, type people.
Now, the majority of the population use sex to procreate, but its not a prerequisite. Some even get fixed so they can't procreate.

People aren't computers, there is no this or that. But infinite possibilities between this or that.

    No it's not. It's a spectrum.

Why did you say whole numbers? I never specified what type of numbers or even what system we're looking at. Isn't saying a percent the same thing as saying a ratio or a decimal? U

One would think that considering your own sexual situation you would understand how inaccurate this commentary is. The physical act of human sex is in itself not binary, the mental is far more complex yet.

That is the dumbest comparison I ever heard.

    Even biologically speaking?

Gender doesn't use numbers, it is one of the nerds who likes algebra; all about the x and y. And in the real world there are only two combos; XX and XY.

Aren't even hermaphrodite born as either XX or XY? Isn't this how doctors know what genderto make out of it?

Nonetheless, "non-binary gender identity" has niente to do with hermaphrodites.
