Where the hang up is between our thoughts, IMO. Yes, there are 2 sexes. Male and Female. But not all humans are completely male or female. Just like there are infinite numbers between 2 binary numbers, 0 and 1. You are either, 0 or 1, and then there is many possibilities between 0 and 1.
If there are only two sexes than its binary. People being between them doesn't make it non-binary only people completely outside the female or male paradigm would suggest that it's non- binary. No such thing exists
