well, i tell you where i haven't been, is reading newsmax or listening to alex jones, which is probably why i haven't heard of this. i only recently heard about the "no planers" (you know, the guys who think the planes on 911 weren't really there) and they've apparently been around for a while too. was i willfully ignorant of that conspiracy theory, too?

Let me enlighten you then - Obama received his social security number while living in Hawaii, never visited CT at the time, or before that. His Social Security number begins with prefix given to these, applying for the social security while living in CT. How did he get it if he's never been to CT?

Which, of course, he wouldn't, unless he was a citizen. And since he hadn't been in the United States long enough continuously to be naturalized by the time his SSN was issued, he must have been born here.

Anyway, there's nothing to the SSN thing. Some clerk typed the wrong number into a form. Happens all the time.

That, for 35+ years, there has been an ongoing conspiracy to bring an unknown half-black liberal with a funny, Muslim-sounding name to the Presidency, and for some reason this conspiracy chose someone ineligible to be President, instead of someone eligible, so they would have to forge all these records. They forged the records, but did such a poor job at it that morons on the internet making YouTube videos discovered their fraud. They were smart enough to create an forged identity for the most scrutinized job on the face of the earth, but weren't smart enough to give him the right prefix on his fake SSN...

How do you know this? After 1972, the area number assigned has been based on the ZIP code in the mailing address provided on the application for the original Social Security card. Thus he would have had to have a legal mailing address in Conn.


So, in order to get a number issued from Conn., he either had to have been in Conn. prior to 1972, or had a legal mailing address in Conn after 1972 ( but before he was 18 since that is when he used the number ). If he applied after 1972, the only way he could get a number issued out of Conn was to use a mailing address in Conn. But why do that when you live in Hawaii ? Why not just have the card sent to your residence ?


As a side note, in his "autobiography " he mentions the first time he visited the mainland was in 1972 ( but he also says he remembers watching the Watergate hearings on TV in his hotel in Chicago- those didn't occur until Spring 1973 ). He mentions every place they visited. Not once was Conn. mentioned. The next time he set foot on the mainland was when he attended college in California

 

Wrong. At least 2 different ways.

1) To essentially guarantee a Connecticut SSN the application would need to be mailed from a Connecticut zip code. It could be anybody's address, Obama would not need to have a "legal mailing address" in Connecticut at all. It just would need to be mailed from there.

2) A single digit typo in the zip code would completely explain this anomaly. And there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance that there could be any other explanation.

That said... no Birther has ever been able to actually explain what "crime" is being committed here. It cannot be identity theft, since Obama has used the same SSN with his own identity since the 1970s. And it cannot be a fake SSN since he has paid his income and payroll taxes with it for more than 30 years without ever once triggering the SSA's "no match" process.

So please, Daryl. Explain to us what possible nefarious purpose might be served by using a Connecticut SSN that wouldn't just as easily been served by a Hawaiian one?

He (or his mother) could have sent in the application with their Hawaiian zip code on it... 96801 is a Honolulu zip code. Honolulu is 96801-96850.

Then, the clerk at SSA either mis-types or mis-reads the zip code printed on the form and is off by one number, and types, for example, 06801.

Want to guess what state the 06801-06850 zip codes are in?

Like I said, your conspiracy theory about a fake SSN does not make sense. If they were going to fake a SSN, it would be just as easy to fake a "correct" one, and avoid this inquiry by birther morons. The fact that there's such an obvious problem with it makes it LESS likely there's anything sinister going on.

Anyone who is interested in the truth, versus interested in getting rid of Obama at all costs, can see that.

Let me contribute to your liberal legal education - you DO not need to be a citizen to receive a Social Security number. I've got one 5 years before I became citizen, and my wife received one 3 years before she became eligible to apply for US citizenship.
