I could be wrong... I often am......
but I believe that Dr. Leslyn Lewis would be the most interesting Prime Minister of Canada who puts her own spin on a line from The Beverly Hillbillies series made famous by Mr. Max Baer who played the role of Jethro Bodine.

I loved with Jethro did one of the episodes where he played the role of a movie producer and there were ten or twenty aspiring young ladies following him and The Clampets around their mansion in Beverly Hills!

The specific sentence was "Jethro Bodine, movie producer at your service!"

The Greater Toronto Area already has the third most powerful film industry in North America, (Hollywood is first and New York is in second place but then Toronto is third).

I already have a suggestion for her as to how to really, seriously ruffle some feathers in Ottawa......
where political leaders at the moment seem willing to do or say just about anything that they need to say to
DIVIDE Canadians.

From the time that this Covid 19 pandemic began I was wishing that M. P. for Central Nova and Minister of Immigration Mr. Sean Fraser could be flipped into the office of National Leader of the Liberal Party..... due to Trudeau being simply far, far, far, far, far, far ,far too divisive!!!!!!

Flipping the Conservative Party over to Mr. Peter MacKay at the same time was an intriguing thougHT ARTISTICALLY!!!!!!

Catapulting Mr. Peter MacKay and / or M. P. Sean Fraser to the top in Ottawa?

if you take a look at the 1991 Canadian national chess championships you will see the name Walczak. He was my step son and after he learned the basic moves in the game at school I practiced with him and he was Nova Scotia Grade five chess champion by December. During the March Break of 1991 I took him to the national championships in Montreal and he did win against the Grade five champion from Saskatchewan, (one of the only other provinces with a population of merely one million residents).

I could be wrong... but I believe that both Canada's Conservative Party as well as Canada's Liberal Party may be wide open for something of a coup...... and Mr. Peter MacKay is perfect for a possible take over of Canada's Conservative Party and M. Good point.... whatever desalinated water pipelines are built only need to be constructed to the top of a ridge because once the water gets over that ridge then it would flow away from The Mediterranean Sea or whatever source of sea water or ocean water was chosen for the location of the desalination facility that it was supplied by.

The situation in Australia is also especially interesting because large areas of Australia are below sea level and could easily be turned into salt water marinas... without any desalination whatsoever??????

2. churches
3. charitable organizations that are already attempting to help the poor such as Food Banks

Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. Dear Minister Khalid..... I asked a question on a large public forum on March 7, 2021 that I believe you will wish to discuss with
Canada's Minister of Immigration M. P. Sean Fraser. Mr. Minister Fraser can easily explain to you why my having driven past
parts of the Bay of Fundy near Truro would get me asking the following question?

If average ocean levels were to rise by ten centimeters.... .would
the multiplier effect of the geography of the Bay of Fundy continue?

The fact that the Bay of Fundy funnels tidal waters plus......
it is over 170 miles long, (274 kms), it produces high tide level that are tenX to fifteenX over the difference in tidal waters where I live.

So... could high tide levels near TRuro, N. S. to Moncton, N. B. be up by a meter or more if average ocean levels were to rise by ten centimeters?

A related question to this one is, does the ADDITION OF H2O TO ANTARCTICA EXPLAIN WHY AVERAGE OCEAN LEVELS HAVE NOT SIGNIFICANTLY RISEN OVER THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS?

To put that number in perspective, Lake Erie contains only 109 cubic miles of water. All of this leads us to a proposal by my online friend Mr. Mervyn DePendleton....

"Well from an engineering point of view if it was a sure thing and time would allow the answer is not going to be try to air condition the Antarctic. I would think in terms of cutting a relief channel. That would be between Sackville and Amherst would be to excavate a canal that would only start to receive water when the tide is up approximately the half of normal height and this canal would have to continue sloping down and terminate in the Gulf of St. Lawrence across from PEI.

No doubt such an undertaking would get bad reviews from a lot of environmentalist but it could save some of the low level human habitation on the banks of the Bay of Fundy. When I visited the area I remember on the N.B. side that there was a lot of high ground as you went inland from the shore of the Bay.

Another approach would be to think like the Seaway Project where Cardinal and Morrisburg and lots of farms and places on the Canadian side of the St. Lawrence were moved and the land flooded with the power dam near Cornwall. The idea with Fundy would in the energy extraction view would be to tell all the low land people to hit it, your property is ruined. At the sea entrance somewhere more in the direction toward St. John to create a one way valve type mechanism. Let the tide water come rushing and don't let it leave right away. When the tide forces have receded then release the water through turbines to generate electricity. From half tide to low tide and back to just coming back again all the stored water has to be used. It might also be possible to get some energy out of the water when it is rushing in at high tide.

I'm sure some high math and some good engineers could get the greatest benefit possible from conditions we otherwise cannot control. Also do not give up on the earth getting ever hotter as it may well be cooling for a while before us. All the end of world alarmist like Paul Ehrlich and the peak oil we would be burning camel dung by 1999 alarmist have all failed miserably in their predictions. The big problem with all of them is that they are trying to tell us something about the future. Conservative minded people know the secret, if you want to predict the future get out in front of it and do something to shape the future with your own hands.

Honorable Minister Khalid, now you and Minister of Immigration Mr. Sean Fraser have a better understanding as to why I have been promoting the Carl Cantrell alternative theory on stabilization of the climate since I first read his theory back in 2005.

Thank you for considering this information related to how our nation Canada should be looking at how best to respond to climate change and specifically the threat posed by
the warming in the Arctic and the potential melting and cracking and sliding of ice off the LAND BASED GREENLAND ICE SHEET!

Immigration levels to Canada hit record high in 2022 ..

I have believed for many years now that if somebody's religious beliefs is PRO-LIFE then they should also tend to support a Basic Minimum Income for all citizens as was advocated by Economist Milton Friedman.

An UNCONDITIONAL BASIC MINIMUM INCOME would give added life to organizations that are attempting to help the homeless.... drug addicts....... alcoholics...... the sex industry... gambling.... and would become a source of revenue that courts could divert over from fathers to a mom who has custody of the children and is actually caring for the children!

I am Pro - Life and I definitely think that an unconditional Basic Minimum Income to all citizens will positively alter the economy of The United States and Canada and soon other nations will follow suit because our history shows how this idea goes back many decades.

My belief is that we must turn local governments loose to do variations of the Worgl, Austria local money experiment again.

This can lead to a method of connecting people with their neighbours in each local area which can play a huge role in a boom in real estate prices in rural America and Canada.

Could a real estate boom plus better Fed policy pay off USA national debt?

I believe that the economic aspect of this COVID 19 crisis is so serious that we need to resort to drastic measures to prevent the USA and Canadian economies from falling into another 1929.

I personally think that the most logical organizations to inspire to do part of this are
1. local municipal governments
2. churches
3. charitable organizations that are already attempting to help the poor such as Food Banks

Large churches in democratic nations should print their own currencies.

" City in Austria Printed Local Currency
Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. We are witnessing for the first time the worldwide creation of money systems designed by the people who use them, instead of by central banks.

...... I am really glad that Ms. Ana Bailao's website was the first one that I found by any major candidate for Mayor of Toronto!

I took an introductory course in Information Technology back in Nova Scotia 2005 when I was forty six but I made a serious error in choosing Web Development Programming for the second year. My then forty seven year old brain just could NOT handle ASP .net and Java Script!!!!!

But I did learn a few things in that year and a half and my opinions on a website is at least somewhat well informed. Ms. Ana Bailao's website is, in my opinion, A WORK OF ART IN TERMS OF PROGRAMMING!!!!!!

Since Ms. Bailao is capable of getting a work of art website like this done....
then I must assume that she would also know how to organize a new and improved plan to create TORONTO DOLLARS through a DATABASE and for the long term I would suggest a SAP platform even though SAP is one of the most expensive!

This tendency to agree with our adversaries can begin with agreement on one topic... .one subject that we can find common ground on.... .but then Jesus can help that agreement to increase and increase and increase......

If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.”
