I don't get the whole "one world government" thing. Is it just natural paranoia? Is it a holdover from the age of empires? Just what is this silly fear of the whole earth being governed by one government of some form? Given that political entities such as nation states tend to be relatively peaceful domestically, I would think that a one-world government would actually bring about quite a bit of peace and prosperity for every human being.
