The Supreme Court ruled that. The Supreme court also ruled that corporations have freedom of speech and can donate as much as they want to candidates.

Obama used to cry about it too, until he found out that Sony was gonna make a movie for him.....

    Typical Democrat BS...

Until the prices are increased to the point of out sourcing.

This is caused by increased taxation, regulation, employee demands, and materials costs.

Sure, as soon as you admit that the effective tax rate on corporations is zero and it makes absolutely no sense to tax them other than to encourage them to move their production elsewhere.

    You agree?

Its not something we claim, its just that its fact. Corporations do have rights. And those rights are protected by the government.

    No its a question.

you get no say to when you want to use the bathroom?
no say as to how you seat on your seat
    what you bring for lunch
    that you have vacations days?

I understand... that was a horrible reach for what speech is and is not.

I likely agree with you on this one.

as long as we are trying to compete with sweatshop labor that will happen.

This is caused by increased taxation, regulation, employee demands, and materials costs.

so the rest of us should pay for regulating businesses we dont even do business with? that hardly seems reasonable.

First, it is, but any single person has virtually no impact, it's only collectively that we have any effect.

Second, shareholders do get to vote. Never been to a share holder meeting I take it?

Corporations paying taxes is a ridiculous notion anyhow, only individuals ever pay taxes.

    Your opinion of course.

Individual people can give a maximum of $2500 to a Presidential candidate.

If a corp is a person, why do the same limits not apply?

A non-public corporation by definition has no shareholders outside of the owners, I can't tell if you're trying to be intentionally absurd or not.

Not at all, it's a statement of fact. Raising taxes on businesses leads to higher prices on their goods and that burden is eventually borne by individuals.

Here's the real story on corporate personhood: it happend in 1886 with Santa Clara county vs Southern Pacific Railroad.

There was an assertion made, followed by a clerical error:

Now who attacks the slave masters of the corporations behalf in court? It would be a fun lawsuit to see happen for sure.

We should have never let in the Special Interest, Corporation, Union money into our political system. It was a VERY bad idea.

But... Obama's gonna get rid of that right? I'll bet that'll be the very next laser like focus he'll have, right after jobs...
(oh, after he comes off vacation too...)
