I doubt this will be the end of this however.

 

One of the funniest things I've ever seen from RWers is the way they try to act like they don't support Rush or take him seriously - that it's "only Liberals who take him seriously" every time he makes a big enough (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) of himself to have his sponsors pulling out on him and they're making themselves ridiculous trying to pretend he didn't really do anything. If you want to know who "empowers" him and "takes him seriously" just read this thread and notice that it isn't Liberals who're defending him and calling her the same names that he called her and expanding on his words.

And yes, I DO take him seriously. He's a hatemonger and sows divisiveness between the American people. He's NOT a "comedian" or an "entertainer" - he's deadly serious about his hatred for Liberals and calling them "the enemy" and they "need to be gotten rid of" and "destroyed". IMO, he's responsible for most of the problems we have in this country today because he finally has us all hating each other and our politicians unable to come together for the least, smallest piece of legislation to benefit the country. He hasn't done it all himself - he started it and set the tone and now we have 1000 "Rush Wannabes" all promoting the same hateful, divisive message. We're well on our way to being "destroyed from within".

 

Well, "slut" and "prostitute" and "send me a copy of a video showing you having sex so I can watch it" has only ONE meaning and it's pretty clear what that is.

Apparently Carbonite didn't think Limpball's apology was acceptable:

What part about this sentence don't you understand? Rush makes an ass out of anyone who takes him seriously. However, you just want to pretend that he only makes people on the right look like asses, when in fact anyone who takes him seriously, is an ass.

BTW, I am not a rightwinger nor am I defending rightwingers who take Rush seriously. Rush is not a serious political commentator. He is a polemic and an entertainer and someone not to be taken seriously.

Your mistake is that you take him too seriously. Given your history of dishonesty by twisting and distorting people's words, I doubt that this is what Rush said, especially without context.

Even assuming that he has called for the destruction of liberals, he has not done anything about it. Therefore, his threats are not serious and if anything, he empowers the Democratic Party by being so polarizing.
