I think it would be more precise to characterize it as centralization versus decentralization. Globalism and nationalism are merely points along that spectrum.

Not true.... just do what almost everybody asked him to do, including many people in his own "party"....

DON'T MEET IN PRIVATE WITH PUTIN.... Once he did that, he was doomed, even if he had handled the presser properly, which of course, he didn't...

If he had a meeting with Pompeo and even that dipstick Bolton in the room with a few counterparts from Russia, it would have been seen as a summit....

Nobody is really against the president of the US and the president of Russia talking face to face... they just needed some more faces in the room...

They have no knowledge of J. Edgar Hoover, or the history of their "intelligence" hero's like John Brennan.

I can't imagine allowing emotional reactions to every moment dictate how I view the world as a whole, or how I chose to go about living in it.

Trump lackies' feeble, knee-jerk defense of his kowtowing to the KGB thug whose attack upon the US democratic process is well-documented. was a tad premature.

The White House retreat from Trump’s disastrous news conference with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin began Monday night, just hours after Trump said that he saw “no reason” why Russia would have meddled in the 2016 election.

After even The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board — normally intensely loyal to Trump — joined in widespread criticism of the president’s implicit public rejection of U.S. intelligence claims, the Trump machine circulated ineffectual talking points to mitigate his capitulation in Helsinki.

When that failed, Trump was foreced to deny that he meant what he had said, leaving his bum boys looking even sillier than usual for having vociferously defended what he didn't mean.

“In a key sentence in my remarks, I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t,’” Trump said.

The tortured grammatical construct is hilarious, but opens new areas for revisionism.

Maybe, he meant that he wouldn't release his tax returns after (mistakingly) repeatedly promising that he would.

Russia could always move to improve relations by withdrawing from their illegally annexed territory and ceasing to murder people on other countries’ soil.

There's nothing wrong with the meeting per se and I haven't heard anyone say there was so GTFOH.
The problem was the pathetic beta performance that trump put on. The problem was trump throwing his countrymen under the bus and siding with an adversary. Wake up.

Sometimes I think people forget that the intelligence community serves the president and the people who elected him, not the other way around.

Why should Russia's bloodless annexation of Crimea hurt relations between Americans and Russians? Are you afraid that Russia is going to annex Long Island next?

I assume you're referring to the Skirpal hoax, which is an obvious false flag concocted by British intelligence.

It's time to face facts: Western intelligence agencies are nothing more than sophisticated gangsters drunk on power and secrecy. They are capable of just about anything, including staging incidents and blaming them on other countries. Nothing they say can be trusted. In fact, one should assume they are lying until proven otherwise.

You guys are off your damn rockers, seriously what exactly did this hurt again. Do you think it would be helpful for Trump to dress Putin down? He’s said he believes Russia hacked the server and that several others were trying. You have no problem with Russian Intelligence getting paid by your party to write a fake dossier and whine like a girl because a president, didn’t punch an enemy according to you, in the face. Obama kissed Putin’s ass, Trump increased sanctions more than the congress did. Get your head out of CNN’s ass. He’s blown up their fighters, he’s trying to blow up their goldmine pipeline. He’s armed Eukraine to fight Russia on their back door. Do some research and get back to us on who’s actually doing something to hurt Russia.

Work what out?? Other than election meddling and Syria, what was the goal of this little chin-wag??

And nobody is moving goalposts... once Trump announced a one-on-one, the ball was already turned over... it was a DOA summit...

The presser was just the corn in the sh*t..

Those "far left ideologies" in your noggin are your concern.

It looks as if I nailed it when I suggested that "Day Care" Kelly might have spanked the bad boy harder than Stormy did:

They are very worried about Putin's claim that the US intelligence services feloniously funneled $400k into Crooked Hillary's campaign.

Trump's flip flop was one of several as of late.
He seems to be very confused.

For a Rand Paul, there are 30 Republican elected officials who condemn the Donald.

If the Americans fear more that a war will break out between US and Russia, it is probably because Trump likes to show his big nuclear button.

A totally unthinkable thing for any balanced head of state on the planet.

And I disregard the threats of "total destruction" he made to North Korea in his address to the UN.

So it is ironic that you are pleased that he's working for peace when he's only fixing the crises he is creating himself.

    Rand Paul is spot on.

He himself has been targeted by many leftists recently....including that bernie supporter who shot at congress.
