    Kind of spin we get on local NJ news everyday: Just saw report on Serena railing at ump for accusing her of cheating, then self-serving ‘I did it for all women’ presser. No mention that her coach admitted the cheating after match; fleeting, grudging mention of NaomiOsaka.

    I usually dislike Williams but have to say she was very gracious to Osaka at the press conference afterwards though honestly considering
    the circumstances, it was the least she could have done.

    Serena's cop out, they wouldn't do this to a man, was disgraceful and cowardly and Billie Jean King showed her true colors by
    backing Williams up. Pathetic!
    The USTA better pray Dal Potro and Djokovic have a sizzling match to remove the stink of the Serena debacle from the court named for the woman who by her reckoning, gets no respect from men, Billie Jean King (such two faced
    hypocrisy).

    She said they do-but they do it on their first offense, not their 2nd or 3rd.

    They do not receive testing for chemical enhancements? I did not know that. It lends credence therefore to the rumors circulating for decades that the Williams sisters are more a product of chemical enhancement rather than just the luck of the genetic draw.

    Serena did. The obvious optics of an Asian competitor and a Hispanic umpire gave Ms. Williams pause before she charged racism but she's quick and pivoted to sexism in the nick of time.

    They are bringing up memories of tennis in the 1980's as if that stuff is tolerated today. Serena had a complete meltdown and disgraced the tournament with her act.

    I hate how some people are giving he credit for being gracious afterwards but she only did so when she could see how much of a horrible situation she created. Naomi is everything she has ever been and more. Serena stayed in the game too long.

    Even arguing the game penalty is stupid since Naomi basically threw the next game to Serena out of pity of just raw emotions from what was happening. She was in tears for the end of that match. I was amazed how she settled down to finish the match.

    Naomi kicked Serena's butt and Serena couldn't handle it.

    Roid rage. There is no way that’s natural for women, even black women who naturally have high testosterone levels.

    They probably let her get away with this because of muh racism.

    I don't disagree with anything except perhaps for Serena's post match behavior. She was very gracious, not that her behavior otherwise gave her much choice.
    Time catches everyone. Serena might want to think about moving on.

    She was horrible after the match carrying on for 15 minutes until they got on the podium. It was only then that she realized how ugly everything had gotten.

    Sore loser and her coach needs to be suspended for 1-2 years for openly admitting he was coaching her on the court.

    Serena needs to go away. Go raise her kids and stop being a spoiled child on the tennis court.
