No one is suggesting Biden should be tipping the scales one way or the other, as Trump has tried to.
Thats what Monica said
But seriously, its not good for the country. Vote him out, give him a library, and move on.
He should be prosecuted anyway. If he steps down and Pence pardons him, the pardon should be challenged as corrupt, and Pence be prosecuted for conspiring in a corrupt enterprise, if there are laws that cover it.
So we're saying your favorite political figures should be permanently immune from all criminal prosecution and should be above the law in every way? Wow, and you have the nerve to pretend to be concerned about "banana republics."
I'm 100% against Biden being involved in any way, and I hope that one thing we gain from Trump's loss is some independence back in the DOJ, but there were several potential examples of obstruction of justice. I support taking those to court. I also support states bringing charges if they are warranted by the evidence.
Because it vindicated Trump the first time. How about we bring up the Durham report that should be coming out soon. Then we can round up the real criminals, Obama, Biden, Hillary, Comey, Brennen and the rest of the KGB gang.
Unless he committed crimes. Then prosecute him. He shouldn't be criminally immune and he shouldn't be above the law. That would be far worse for the country.
If Durham found anything at all, it would have come out before the election.
Well, I'd certainly ask the 25 women accusing Trump of sexual assault.
I don't think this nation can heal unless Trump is held accountable for his crimes.
Clinton left Bush a robust economy, a multibillion dollar surplus, and a very high approval rating, (He finished with a Gallup poll approval rating of 65%, higher than that of every other departing president measured since Harry Truman) so I'm not seeing a need to 'heal' with the prosecution of Clinton.
Trump, on the other hand, left us with an America in shambles, his entire team has covid, people are at each other's throats, hate crimes are up, farmers markets have been destroyed, allies look upon us in pity, the country is far more divided than it has ever been, deficits are careening to hitherto unseen heights, and Trump is worried about being prosecuted as the SDNY is hot on his trail. I recall Trump declaring that 'The American dream is dead'. Yeah, he killed it.
Yeah, America could definitely heal from the damage this man has done. If SDNY or DOJ goes after him, I've no problem with it.
But but but unity LOL
Prosecuted or not, that Trump won't spend a single minute in jail is an absolute certainty....
What this thread does demonstrate is the true ugly, distorted by pathological hatred face of the America's left.
won't happen, just like we never prosecuted Nixon after his VP pardon's him
the question is, will Trump resign and allow Pence to Pardon him
Won't matter when it comes to the state cases, and we know New York is looking into him on several counts. I doubt he'll see any prison time, but I also doubt he'll make it past the next few years with at least some guilty verdicts on things like fraud and tax evasion.
As for the federal stuff, I think he'd try to pardon himself before he'd resign and let Pence do it.
100% agree, that is where Trump can't do anything about it
Everyone commits crimes. It would depend n the crime of course. Obstruction doesn't count.
Since Trumps and Bidens accusers spoke up when it was politically convenient, we need more than an accusation.
Your other issues with Trump are emotional reactions. You simply cannot call for healing and revenge at the same time.
Vance will likely turn up quite a bit, and I'm sure SDNY plans on going after him for the Stormy Daniels payments since they mentioned him in their charges against Cohen. The big one for me, though, is the fact that AMI has likely flipped on him and has a few more things to say about those capture and kill stories. They managed to get immunity for whatever it was they had to offer, so it's probably better than whatever Cohen might have.
I don't share your opinion that crime "doesn't count."
will be fun to see how many Trump tries to throw under the bus on his way down, his lawyer going down was just the start imo
and all those that helped Trump commit crimes at a federal level, if Trump doesn't pardon them too, they can go down as well
Only one who might be safe is Ivanka
There weren't any crimes let alone crimes against humanity.
For you no. For those who don't wear blinders, the crimes committed are some of the worst in history. 12.5 million people infected and 260,000 dead on his watch and growing exponentially. Not to mention the torture of children, separation of families and other crimes against humanity as well as treason, racketeering, tax fraud and attempting to steal a national election (sedition) and much more. Go back to sleep.
So no crimes. You do understand that from the legal perspective calling this garbage would be an insult to garbage, right? LOL
That sir is idiotic. Unless you have evidence that Trump personally infected those people you have zero case.
His admitted lies have killed upwards of 200,000 people. That is most certainly a crime. He is the greatest mass murderer in US history.
He is also going to prison for tax fraud in NY. And he can't pardon himself out of that one LOL!
If you support imprisoning more of our population than any other country, I don't share your opinion. Crimes are often created during an investigation. If this beast you support when its attacking Trump ever attacks you, you would would have 3 options. Give up your life savings and equity to defend yourself, take a plea, or become a witness against a bigger target.
LOL, dude, you can't put China virus in jail. It's a virus, dude, it's invisible without a powerful microscope
As far as tax fraud is concerned, every single american can in theory be charged and convicted. I've not seen a shred of evidence of Trump's tax fraud, the IRS clearly has not charged him.... and if they do, his lawyers will destroy them, your best case hope is "No contest" plea and a symbolic fine... and the chances of that are 1 in a million. Get real.
Actually, it’s in the footnotes of the report that are problematic. Remember Trump only offered a commutation of a specific Stone sentence. Roger still has a significant legal liability.
Stone is currently acting out. He’s tied to the PAC causing Republicans problems in Georgia or I suppose one could say that is how a dirty trickster lobbies for a pardon.
How does Trump offer a pardon for ‘conspiring with Russia’ without opening himself up to legal liability?
It’s going to be an interesting fifty-odd days.
