Support for gay marriage has fallen after Obergefell

Sure there was, there were even cons that were saying they didn't want their kids playing with gay kids because they were afraid their kids would be gay. Sorry but that is completely irrational. Just because you support those same folks doesn't mean the word is any less accurate.

 

Staying on the subject, nothing is permanent. I doubt we'll go back to gay marriage prohibition; but I don't doubt that Americans' attitudes towards it will change.

I do wonder how the Democrats feel about bringing in tens of millions of people into the country that don't support it. Maybe they figure since they were the ones handing out blankets and soup these Latinos won't oppose them. I don't even know the current attitudes among Latinos regarding homosexual marriage. I assume with the Catholic influence they're not real keen on it.

I think Democrats are painting themselves into a corner on these social issues by welcoming illegal immigrants that will one day vote for them, or not.

 

Sure, we'll use the exact same tactics yall did. But the first step is the hardest. We'll need to find millions of jobless losers with nothing to do but picket and protest. Lucky for you guys, Conservatives are the bread and butter. We're the ones that act like adults and work because we believe in earning what we get. We're the drivers, we're the winners.

Until the 1960s, the Democrats were the southern conservatives while the Republicans were the northern liberals.

Abe Lincoln believed that the negro was inferior, but opposed slavery and believed that they should be sent to greater freedom in Africa (an idea which was supported by many African Americans, would have been completely voluntary and had already been done in Liberia).

Jefferson Davis believed that the negro was inferior and that it was the white man's god given right to enslave them and force them to perform backbreaking labor from the time they could walk until the time they finally dropped dead from heat stroke, exhaustion, dehydration, starvation, disease, injuries or outright brutality.

Some gay rights activist will write an article about how gay marriage opposers hated gays and wanted to kill them all out of pure hatred. How we didn't want you guys to have any rights and so on and so forth, and the mention of the president opposing gay marriage will never be mentioned, only that he went above and beyond to have gay "rights" passed by the law of the land.

What you fail to see is that equal treatment for you could have been achieved in other ways. Nobody wants to take away the right that you can have the same benefits we have, but infringing on an age old term is not the way to gain a nationwide acceptance. Nor is letting 9 people decide for 330 million when they're not even allowed to make such a law.

The U.S. flag represents a country which has had racism in its history. The Confederate flag represents a country that was founded for the sole purpose of defending and expanding slavery.

 

The Supreme Court ruled that bans on same sex marriage are unconstitutional. They did not make a law. They are allowed to do that. That's their whole function in the first place. Why is it that you anti-same sex marriage people don't know how the government works?

And your feelings being hurt over a word are not a good enough reason to deny SSM. You have no right not to be offended.

Also, none of us are looking for your approval or acceptance.
